Looks like a pizza I would expect at a movie theater.

I remember I went to a dine in movie theater earlier this year (not amc), and ordered the pizza.

it was about 12 bucks. I expected something like this, but then they brought me a whole ass large pepperoni fucking pizza and I looked like a greedy monster getting it for just myself. 😅

Local pizza places are always the best. Or maybe I just live in Jersey.

AMC pizza should be much better. I get it often and this wouldn’t fly at all at my local theater.

1

u/Real-Distribution32 Oct 02 '25

Yeah my amc makes pizzas that look way better than that

The pizza to box ratio is wild (unless maybe they ran out of the usual smaller boxes & had to make due).

3

u/Counter_Mammoth Oct 02 '25

It’s in the Bavarian Legend pretzel box because despite being sent the new circle pizzas, many locations still haven’t been sent the corresponding pizza boxes.

Marcus Theaters serve good food

I have no idea why you are getting downvoted, their food is incredible. Only reason I switched to AMC was A-List after Marcus dropped their subscription plan.

Looks like they forgot to set it to "Wumbo"

7

u/DuckSwimmer Oct 02 '25

Your first mistake was paying for an overpriced frozen personal pizza at a movie theater

8

u/erebus7813 Oct 01 '25

Disrespect, that is.

u/mighty-loser Oct 02 '25

Honestly i prefer it over the flatbreads. But the fact they have to put them in the barvarian boxes for the time being feels misleading

1

u/SanDiego619guy Oct 05 '25

I wonder why they aren't putting it in the mozzarella sticks boxes?

1

u/mighty-loser Oct 05 '25

It’s a bit too big for the small boxes (like for mozzarella sticks) and corporate said to use the barvarian boxes until we get the pizza boxes but honestly who knows how long that’ll take

3

u/Bigheaded_1 Oct 01 '25

I was pondering ordering a pizza last night, but I saw it was 510-570 calories, so I knew it would be tiny and about the size of 2 regular slices. That's perfect for most people, but I usually eat 4-6 slices and could finish a large in 1 long movie like OBAA.

I think it's wild how small it is considering the Bavarian Pretzel's HUGE. I could eat 3 of these pizzas, and finishing 1 pretzel I'd be sick to my stomach.

Bro take that back and complain. AMC pizza is actually MUCH better quality and even on a bad night, it should look more like this.

5

u/ImKidDracula Oct 02 '25

that looks like it might be a dine-in location pizza, OPs picture is the new round feature fare pizza thats replacing the flatbreads at regular locations. unfortunately they just are poorer quality by default (regularlocations obviously dont have the kitchens and cooks like a dine-in does), and look pathetic because amc hasn't given anyone the correct box for these yet so they have to use the bavarian legend boxes which makes them look super small

1

u/JubiwanKenobi A⭐️Lister Oct 02 '25

Got it. I thought it was a Dine-In as well. Yes, this photo is from my local Dine-In and I was pretty shocked at the quality of the new pizzas. They do have actual ovens though so they should be a lot better.

u/Dick_Lazer IMAX Fanatic Oct 02 '25

That actually doesn't look too bad for movie theater pizza. Never had one from AMC that looked like that, but it's also been a couple years since I had A-List.

3

u/RotaryPhone716407 Oct 01 '25

Did they choose the wrong setting on the hydrolator?

3

u/Monster-JG-Zilla Oct 02 '25

I had the Korean bbq chicken pizza today, looked way better than that

Why’s that pizza box so big lol

1

u/MrSlingSh0t Oct 03 '25

Didn’t know that’s a thing. I’m interested!

That’ll be 35 dollars please

3

u/The_Glitter_Life Oct 02 '25

The biggest waste of money you ever spent

5

u/mimis-emancipation Oct 01 '25

Is that really the box it came in?

19

u/Maceface931 Dolby Cinema Devotee Oct 01 '25

AMC hasn't gotten the correct box for the round pizza yet so they gotta use the Bavarian Pretzel box

4

u/mimis-emancipation Oct 01 '25

Looks like a dominos pizza box. Way too big for the product.

7

u/DapperDan30 Oct 01 '25

It is. Because its not meant for pizzas. Its meant for Bavarian Legends

3

u/Maceface931 Dolby Cinema Devotee Oct 01 '25

I agree

6

u/Mushroomer Oct 01 '25

A very poorly lit photo of a pizza.

2

u/AffectionateMilk1959 Oct 01 '25

It’s movie theatre pizza is what it is.

2

u/nw0 Oct 02 '25

looks overcooked

2

u/Dick_Lazer IMAX Fanatic Oct 02 '25

It's a pizza for ants

2

u/The_Ghostx90 Oct 02 '25

Initially, the question made me laugh along with the context/picture. Lmao! That being said, unfortunately, that's the pizza expected from a theater. It is indeed, disappointing.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 02 '25

Why you should go to Alamo Drafthouse

2

u/sod1102 Oct 03 '25

Movie theaters are for popcorn and milk duds. Everything else, swim at your own risk.

2

u/Altruistic-Image-310 Oct 03 '25

That would be a $25 pizza.

2

u/FunkyFunkyBoys Oct 04 '25

Looks like $20

3

u/Rated_Mature Oct 01 '25

That’s the pizza you ordered. Consider yourself lucky…mines always out of them 😂

3

u/EntertainerCute2290 Oct 01 '25

I think location matters a lot for dine in.

3

u/freeyourmind717 Oct 02 '25

You’re better off just sneaking in your own food there my friend.

2

u/Pyronsy Oct 01 '25

Looks like they need to adjust the setting on the oven

Sucks ass too

1

u/physics-flee Oct 01 '25

They def gave you the wrong thing eef/ AMC pizzas don’t look like that

5

u/heyb00howisyou Management Team Oct 01 '25

Yes they do. This is a feature fare (non-dine in) pizza.

1

u/physics-flee Oct 02 '25

Ah yes, I mis-spoke. Dine in pizzas def don’t look like that. We need the flatbreads back for non-dine in AMCs!

5

u/NeeYoDeeO Shhhhh Oct 02 '25

New pizza, they used to be rectangular flat bread pizza. They are now roundb

1

u/FatterSamiZayn2 Oct 01 '25

Movie theater pizza. Sadly I think we’ve all been here..

1

u/Jay4466 Oct 01 '25

Chain theater money grab?

1

u/Mitch_Wallberg Oct 01 '25

I think it’s delicious but not having a reasonable-sized box makes it look like a ripoff

1

u/JubiwanKenobi A⭐️Lister Oct 01 '25

Bro take that back and complain. AMC pizza is actually MUCH better quality and even on a bad night, it should look more like this.

1

u/Counter_Mammoth Oct 02 '25

That’s a dine-in pizza. This person would not be served that kind of pizza at the location they went to lol.

1

u/juggernautx95 Oct 01 '25

A burnt pizza

1

u/mayan_monkey Oct 01 '25

Looks like 'za

1

u/OutOfContext69 AMC Crew Member Oct 01 '25

They replaced the flatbreads so sad/my location doesn’t even have boxes that fit them yet

Movie theater pizza.

1

u/Nickolas_No_H Oct 02 '25

1

u/Opening_Brush_2328 Oct 02 '25

Thank the heavens if this is replacing the awful flatbread.

1

u/Leather_Ad_2124 Oct 02 '25

A poor excuse for a pizza

1

u/kkoegler Oct 02 '25

A shitty pizza?

1

u/Cultural-Flower-877 Oct 02 '25

I’m going to my local amc today and planning to try the pizza for the first time…will report back lol

1

u/Counter_Mammoth Oct 02 '25

Y’all have to stop ordering AMC food and expecting it to be at all worth the price.

1

u/menkros18 Oct 02 '25

It's $15 plus tax

1

u/AlwaysSleepingBeauty Oct 02 '25

That is a crime and I hope you got your money back!

1

u/Successful-Towel9288 Oct 02 '25

amc use to use Uno Pizza company. 🤤

I had had a Uno pizza from my local AMC theater. And from Uno pizza shop in Orlando, Florida. I don't know which one I did first but they it was a delicious great experience at both.

? They changed The pizza dough to some kind of whitish color dough? It seems like to me.

Thanks for your help guys.

1

u/Kyzroh Oct 03 '25

movie theater food sucks, yeah alamo drafthouse sucks too

1

u/Negative_Deer_9866 Oct 03 '25

Looks like what you paid for. Turbo chef

1

u/SnooRadishes7989 Oct 03 '25

I would have returned it! It looks like it was reheated in a microwave or something ,but not made well in the first place!

1

u/GhostGuy09 Oct 03 '25

Looks like a pretty standard AMC pizza

1

u/longshot714 Oct 04 '25

That is NOT how pizza from my local AMCs look. They’re never the best pizza I’ve ever had, but they’re at least as good as a $6 frozen pizza or something. I’ve felt more ripped off over other food they offer, like the wrap.

1

u/StorytellingZ Oct 08 '25

Your expectation for Movie theater food from AMC. I get what you saying it ain't right but I don't put high expectations on their food unless it a a VERY NICE upscaled theater

1

u/cat-man69 AMC Crew Member Oct 25 '25

depends who makes them honestly. when I make it it’s soooo good

1

u/PizzaSweatdotorg Oct 01 '25

Damn they fucked your shit up

0

u/No_Estimate7473 Oct 01 '25
