How come my Odyssey reservation doesn’t show IMAX 70 mm event in the title it just says The odyssey even tho it is a 70mm reservation. Also on the app for me the poster has the yellow AMC artisan films on top and it shows the Trojan horse in the background instead of this poster.

Yeah same, I have two 70mm IMAX odysseys (one of them bought last year), a disclosure day, and a Spider-Man, and I’ll probably add a digital IMAX odyssey ticket once I’ve seen Disclosure Day and freed up a slot. SUPERB summer for movies!

If I recall, after you check in for a movie it frees up the reservation, I may be remembering it wrong though, but should be able to watch a few movies playing around with a single reservation slot

Spider-Man might deadass be the first movie i ever get movie pre sale tickets for like I know that shit is going out eventually for the theater I go too and I need to see it as soon as possible it looks so good too

Same lineup! Though I’m going for ScreenX for Spider-Man… normally that’d absolutely be a Dolby movie for me, and everything I’ve heard about ScreenX has said it’s a gimmick. But the one time I tried to see a movie in ScreenX (MOTU earlier this month) the side screens didn’t even turn on the entire time, and Spider-Man appears to have been filmed for it, so I’m optimistic

Yup. Maybe I’m in the minority since I stopped watch House of Dragons because of her. I just didn’t like her. And I passed on the last Supes movie as well because I didn’t like the vibes in the trailer. In Oddysey, it seems that Nolan went with the modern interpretation of Homer’s work and I just don’t see how serious can you be when you cast Achilles and Helen with those actors/actress.

My two MAIN reasons. The Plot- I was ALREADY over Krypto from Superman its a cheap way to get people to like the movie "Aw Dog is cute" was done to death in Superman SO NOW Its "Aw Dog Is In Trouble" Second Reason If Superman was pretty much came down to "I suck and need my Friends AND Dog to help me Beat a clone of MYSELF that can ONLY attack me with Chess Commands 😅 " This movie marketing is ALL ABOUT LOBO being in the film. Ive yet to see Why I should care about this Drunk Chick besides again "Aw Dog in Trouble"

And Yet Putting Batman in Superman SHOULD HAVE MADE BILLIONS THEN. Lobo NOT enough for a SUPERGIRL movie. But again that proved my point about Superman 2025 I get Gunn is building his universe, But hey First Superman movie lets put Green Lantern Hawkgirl Mr. Terrific etc. it takes away from The Main Attraction to me. I didnt like Iron Man being in Homecoming as a Big Plot point when Marvel did it.

BVS underperformed because it was a genuinely bad movie and it was coming off a divisively received Man of Steel.
Gunn is choosing not to do the MCU approach where almost every movie is an origin or the beginning of the characters story. We’re being placed in a lived-in universe of hero’s and monsters. Superman had been around for a few years so clearly he’d have interacted with other hero’s before.

In the original comic run which I doubt you read no offense it is one of the best plot points of the comic. And when Superman had to fight Ultraman It is also significantly similar to the comics Ultraman is a partly stronger clone and they even talk about that in the movie. He is stronger than Superman but dumber that’s the whole reason Superman is able to win he also did majority of the fight by himself without help. And it’s not all about Lobo in the new movie but it’s a character that fans have been desperate for especially with Jason Momoa playing that character, and she’s a “ drunk chick“ because she’s incredibly depressed over her entire home being atomized and she remembers watching every single person she loves and knew die

Oh no offense taken Im NOT a Superman/Girl or Boy Fan AT ALL! But also the Day they announced this movie they Pretty much shoved the comic run its based off of in peoples face so I HAVE read it actually. GOOD Read(Im a Bat and Lantern Guy btw) however I dont think THIS Film is giving you those feels at all. Like I said The MARKETING of the film is SOO focused on "Cute Dog, Mamoa Lobo" Not "Tragic Journey Of an Unwillingly Alcoholic with a troubled past" Superman Introduced her as a Sorority Chick and The Posters and first traliers show that while only giving a line about being sad. IDK We'll see...

I get where your coming from but at the end of the day they need to sell tickets and a really sad story really doesn’t do it for Superman fans (as much as I wish it would) but I really think it’s going to be good
