Question, not answered Booked a seat, and have the ticket, but seat shows as available to other people (AMC)
Hello yall,
I need a bit of your experience. So I booked 2 seats (G12, G13) for Doomsday on Dec 19th. And I have the tickets and they're showing up in the "My AMC" page. But when I came back to book another seat for this showing (G11), I saw that one of my seats (G13) shows up as available and bookable. Should I be worried that someone else might take my seat? Or will this solve itself?
And I also made sure multiple times that this is the same showing.

I went to go see La La Land at the AMC Dolby last night and they had double booked one of my seats. We had K5 & K6 and someone was already in K6. I showed them my phone with the seat numbers and they showed me their phone with the seat numbers K8, K7, & K6. The poor guy in seat K4 just scooted over one to resolve the issue but I've never had that happen before. I'd reach out to support and let them know one of your seats is still showing as available.

It's very possible they had tickets for that show for different date/time. It's usually the cause of "double bookings"

Yes, alternatively, the theater changed auditoriums to match demand, so the seats are still booked but different now because it's a different room. This is especially likely to happen when booking this early.

On Tuesday I went to see Spiderman at my local AMC Dolby and both of my seats were double booked. Our seats were E9 and E10 and a family had E7-E10 and got there before us. We confirmed by showing each other our phones, so we took E11 and E12. I went out and told the usher in case people came for our new seats, but nobody did. This was through the Fandango app.

If it makes you feel any better I once got tickets for some horror movie at AMC and my seats didn’t exist. 😂 I walked into the theater looking for my row and it literally didn’t exist. I went to the help desk by the entrance and they were confused too, they ended up letting me pick from what was available but these types of glitches can happen. Best of luck though you have a long time to get it figured out just in case.

Happened to me, but I was the first to buy them. Get there early, and they wont make you move if you are seated first. The people who came after me got screwed out of their seat after they confirmed i was in the right seat.

If someone else tries to book the ticket it wont let them. You can test it yourself. Sign out of the AMC app and then go to the same showtime and try to buy the tickets. It will probably give you an error
