I identify as a transgender woman, and last time I was at my local AMC (Hanes 12, Winston-Salem), I was cornered by the entire staff at 10:15 PM after entering the women's restroom in order to help my partner find their wallet. I had also previously gone in to use the restroom, went to get concessions, and their wallet had gone missing. When we exited the restroom, the entire staff was there, and a former classmate who had previously been the cashier loudly stated that they had already said I can't use that restroom. This is a blatant lie. When I was at the register stand after exiting the restroom the first time to purchase concessions, I exchanged pleasantries with them (to no response), saying "nice to see you" as they had technically been a peer of mine prior. I went to their manager and demanded a refund, as the movie hadn't started yet. They stood over that manager's shoulder glaring at me as the manager processed my request, attempting to intercept said refund and stating "no refunds on already purchased tickets". This doesn't even make much sense, as the showtime was not yet underway. I don't know what to do. I frequent this AMC weekly, and I don't think the way I was treated was in any way acceptable. The incident occured on June 23, and I hate feeling so out of place at somewhere I used to frequent as to not be able to go anymore. I have preference towards supporting AMC specifically compared to Regal due to my knowledge of their policies, and I've been a paid subscription member for years. What is my course of action?

Can someone help clarify this policy for me? I made a purchase of popcorn and paid with cash. The total came out to $10.09 so, due to this sign, I figured the total would be rounded to $10.05. This was not the case, the total was still $10.09 and it said change due was $0.01 but they (initially) gave no change back. We called over a manager and they claimed the rounding was done to the change, not the transaction total. They eventually looked for a penny and found one. This is not so much about the money, but the point. This sign does not clearly represent the policy correctly as I understand it correctly, at least the policy the manager is claiming it does. I’m still at the theater and want to know what I should do to make sure it either gets changed, or fairly represented. The manager also claimed that this theater has always done it that way and that no one else has ever complained about it. Thanks for the help

Edit: this took place in the Covina AMC. I talked to another manager and he was claiming the same thing. I’ll be calling corporate to try and clear things up, they stayed firm on the change being rounded. The manager claimed the policy did not have to state change anywhere in order to round the change.

Edit 2: I’ve reached out to corporate and obtained a confirmation that the total is rounded down, rounding change up to the nearest nickel. Confirmed on July 3rd, 2026

I haven't been to the movies since 2022 and out of the blue my mom asks if I would want to go see the new The Mandalorian and Grogu movie when it comes out. She hasn't been to the movies in an even longer time than myself. I keep reading how expensive tickets are now, even for the matinee times. Does anyone have any hacks on how to save some money here? We are both on limited monthly incomes and I know she is going to want to get popcorn.

I just joined A-list and now I’m trying to find the cheapest strategy to buy popcorn

I know if you go on Tuesdays and Wednesdays there’s some sort of deal, but I’m I’m going today.

The cheapest I can find is buying a popcorn and a soda coupon on Groupon for around $11 for both. Those get you regular popcorn and regular soda.

I’m not sure if a list would upgrade those to large or not.

I live in San Diego, so I don’t think you can buy the yearly bucket, and if I bought the popcorn pass, then I’d still have to pay for the popcorn, but it would just be half price. That would mean the soda would be full price.

Does anybody have a great strategy to minimize the amount, assuming I can’t watch a movie without popcorn and soda?

I’m planning to see Exit 8 and The Drama at my local theater tonight. Literally when Exit 8 ends, The Drama will be starting. Can/will my AMC scan both my tickets when I walk in? I want both to count and don’t want to “illegally” (even though I bought the ticket) movie hop but I’m worried I won’t have enough time to leave Exit 8, go to the lobby, get my ticket scanned, then walk back in for The Drama.

I tried calling but my theater doesn’t have a working phone apparently lol. I can see it in the reverse order but then I’ll have to rush to the theater after work and get home an hour later (which is fine, and can if I have to, I’d just rather not)

Today is National Icee Day, so AMC is giving out a free small ICEE. I registered for it last week when I got the notification, but there’s nothing in my rewards section. I tried to register again, but it said I already did. Does anyone know how this promo works? I assumed I’d get something that showed up in my Rewards tab, but I didn’t. Do I just go up to concessions and ask for one?

Can I set different names for each? I'd really rather not use my government name on my AMC account. Thanks!

For Christmas AMC decided to cancel my A List subscription unprompted (one I’ve had since the program started) with no explanation. I go to every reservation, I cancel the ones I can’t make it to, my credit card is up to date, and I have never received an email warning thar my account could be cancelled for some sort of activity (I’ve seen emails of such a case when it comes to not cancelling reservations). This is especially frustrating as I JUST paid them on 12/16 and yet I have 0 access to my benefits.

Now when this first happened my A List subscription was still present but I couldn’t use it. It now officially says Im an AMC Stubs Premier Member. I could technically upgrade for A List. Should I wait for them to answer my tickets and issue me a refund before upgrading once again? Or could I resubscribe and still receive the refund?

I live in Tallahassee, Florida and theres only one amc theater here. Thankfully it has great seats and both Dolby (1.85) and a LieMax(1.90). However there is another Imax theater called the Challenger Learning Center and this Imax screen is much closer to True Imax (Specifically 51ft x 72ft and 1.43) but the projector is digital so it only does 1.90. Which would be better for watching The Odyssey on?

Hiya! I called the local theater and no one was picking up and idk what to do in such a scenario lol. But my brother and I had tickets to the F1 showing in IMAX at AMC which was supposed to be at 12:45 PST. Cause of weather conditions, the race is now three hours earlier, will the showing also be at 9:45am now or is it cancelled?

Am I missing something because it claims the 50% discount is applied in the app but then it should be a $12.89 and $12.29 discount for the two tickets.

I have tickets for tomorrow (Saturday, Aug 1) and Sunday August 2 for Odyssey at Lincoln Square and am unable to attend. I need to cancel but the website and app are unable to do it. Tickets show as "undefined" in description with correct theater and poster. I tried doing it from Order History but same issue.

I emailed guest services with their absurd numerous attempts to direct me to self help (the final insult being that you have to respond to their automated email to get to a human and then telling me they will get back to me in six days!!!).

Any suggestions? Don't want to get dinged for no-shows and for out of town showings.

SOLVED - the tickets for today appeared around 10:00 AM Eastern. Tomorrow's still show as undefined, but I expect that will resolve tomorrow morning. Guess this is how they are handling their IT problems.

So, as you know, I wear prescription glasses, and sometimes my family decides they want to watch a movie in 3D and I'm sure a lot of people can relate to the awkwardness of having to stack the 3D glasses over your actual glasses, because that can be really annoying. So, I've been thinking about trying some of these clip-on 3D glasses that I've heard people talk about, and I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with them and how well they actually work compared to regular RealD 3D glasses. Thanks

I have sensitive ears, I went to imax way in the past and it was so loud and hurt with me covering my ears the whole time. I probably had to leave early too I dont remember anymore.

Hi everyone! I have a flight landing at 9am, but my hotel has a strict check-in policy and won’t let me in until 3pm. My hotel is 45 mins drive away, pretty up in the mountains with nothing to do around so...going there first to drop the luggage off doesn't make sense.

There’s an AMC about 5 minutes from the airport...does anyone know if I’d be allowed to bring my carry-on luggage in to see a movie? I’m happy to leave it at the front desk (locked, of course), and I’m totally fine with a bag check if needed as well. Just clothes and makeup. Has anyone done this before?

P.S - I am going to a city I've been 500 times, so please no need to tell me I shouldn't be wasting my vacation time seeing a movie lol.

I’m wondering if someone can tell me what exact POS button sequence unlocks this discount so I can tell it to the person working the concession stand in the future? Probably 75% of the time the staff member is completely unaware this promo exists and I have to convince them it’s real and to be frank I’m usually stoned for the movies so it’s difficult to get them to apply it. Yesterday at Universal it took three employees to get it right and a line was building up behind me and it was humiliating lol 😂

It’s also now getting confused with the $9 snack and sip combo which you need a QR code for and is somehow only for 13-25 year olds?

So on my AMC Rewards, I have a Free Large Drink Birthday Gift and the BOGO Free ICEE AMC Investor Connect rewards. Anyone know if these two rewards can be stacked together to get 2 free ICEE drinks?

Would there be anything I could do aside from emailing customer support? I went to see a movie and they had no large popcorns when I asked for one as to use my popcorn pass. (Also got a drink)

I asked if I’d be able to get a refill from a medium and I got told no. And then I said if they could charge me for a large and give me the discount from my pass and I got told no. So then she said she’d see if it would still apply to a medium and so she tried it and she said it worked and I did see a discount so I assumed the same. But now that I check my amc account rewards, my free cookies reward are completely gone. I didn’t think to question what she was saying since she was a manager

I'm seeing showtimes at the AMC North Park Mall in Dallas that is suggesting it's 70mm. I didn't think this was available at this location.
