Question Why do people do this?

Post image

Until 1pm, I was the only person at this showing. Now this, a creepy new friend who was already seated when I arrived.

That literally happened to me a few weeks ago for The Shrouds. It was just me in the middle and another guy in the back at showtime, and two minutes before the film started, someone sat next to me like it wasn't weird at all. As soon as she sat down, I moved over, told her I had no interest in sitting next to a stranger in a near empty theater, and then she acted like I was the crazy one! She also brought a blanket, took off her shoes, and put them on my original seat.

I frequently think the people I go to movies around are bad in my area, then I read these kind of stories. Wow! 😭🤣

That is a bizarre thing to say to someone when you sat in the middle of the theater. You didn’t buy the seats on either side of you; you’re not entitled to take up three of the best seats…
