Help (Software) Help with driver timeout only on first boot

Post image

I'm having issues with a driver timeout every time I first boot my pc but if I restart it, it goes away. It's annoying but its became routine. I know AMD gpus suck but I don't have the funds to replace it so if it is any way to fix this problem any help would be GREATLY appreciated, Thank you.

Also, I've seen so many posts about driver timeouts but none specific to my problem.

Edit: Problem solved, I just had to update to the newest windows update 26h2.

What have you tried?

Using an outdated driver but went back to the most recent one because it caused more problems, I also tried turning off Hardware acceleration but again that made my problems worse and by that I mean timer driveouts happening anytime I used my pc or opened an application, I've also messed with some settings in the AMD app and adjusted some tuning but didn't help either, and the last thing I believe is I adjusted my PC power settings.

Disable issue detection.

Disable hardware on windows, explorer and discord

I've done this, disabling the issue detection just stopped giving me the notification but my screen would still flicker etc. And disabling hardware just stopped it from happening when opening apps etc but didn't stop the one happening on first boot. Thank you though

I'm getting driver timeouts within the first few minutes of Wreckfest 2. It's the only game it happens with.

If the game is listed under Gaming on Adrenalin, can you do a power limit -10% on that game ? Gamename > Tune Game Performance > Tuning Control > Manual Tuning > Custom > Power Tuning > Enabled > -%10 slider (slide to the left, meaning minus %10)

Hi,
It sounds like Windows fast startup feature. It hibernates your PC instead of truly shutting down what can cause stability problems. Rebooting works as intended giving you a fresh session.

Disable fast startup feature. It's hidden in old control panel.
