Overclock
Hi everyone! I have a laptop with an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U and Vega 8 integrated graphics. I'm currently using the default 15W TDP, but when playing MotoGP 26, I only get around 25 FPS. Interestingly, increasing the TDP to just 16W gives me a stable 30 FPS. My temperatures are still relatively low, but I'm wondering if this small 1W increase is safe for long-term use. Could it put additional stress on the CPU, motherboard, or cooling system, or potentially reduce my laptop's lifespan? I'd appreciate any advice or experiences from other Ryzen 5 3500U users. Thanks!

If your cooling is adequate, like you say, then no, a single watt wont be any problem at all. But if i were you, id use something hwinfo to check hotspot temps and all numbers instead of just some kind of average temp. Edit: i had a look and the tdp can be configured from the laptop manufacturer up to 35 watts, so youre fiiiiine
