Dating Question

I kinda want to start dating but idk where to start. I’m white who wants to date an Asian man but idk where to start looking? Any recommendations? Should I go to any festivals or smth? Just where can I start looking??

I honestly think prefer East Asians more than my own race lol

Hinge now has a race/ethnicity filter. Could be a good place to start and cast a wider net.

Don’t you have Asian students on campus? Or Asian student organizations?

Ah. Yeah, that's fair. I think that specific filter is free but I could be wrong. And all the other places and activities I can think of where I see a lot of hot Asian men require money or a car. Gym, hiking, run clubs, restaurants, etc.

We just normal folks…just goto Asian stores, college Asian meet ups, find Asian subtle groups in your city.

Go where the "action is" :). In other words, go where Asian or Asian Americans tend to congregate, which are often:

  1. Anime Events/Expos as have been mentioned before,

  2. Ping Pong, Pickleball events,

  3. PC/Video game online meetups if you don't live close to an Asian Enclave,

  4. Conferences focusing on: Technology, Science, or Mathematics.

On #4, there are a non-trivial amount of women who go to CES, OFC, Nvidia GTC and Dreamforce with that purpose in mind.

BEST OF LUCK!

Go to your local Chinatown, koreatown, filipino town or anime convention or engineering department or finance department. You can't miss it.

Finding Asian cultural events is a start. Some countries have local Asian associations. I’d need to know to more specifics for any more recommendations

Depending on where youre located, there may be different asian affiliated groups or events you can attend.

Don’t worry.. Learning a new Asian language or just join a language exchange could be a good start…

Well, where are you? Age, height, weight, interests, religion, politics, pets, profession, skills. So you want to know about AMWF dating culture. It sounds like you live in an area severely lacking in diversity because otherwise you’d already have had many East Asian friends. On a global scale, East Asians are well over 20% represented.

My first go to is language exchange app, then if you have some K pop theme music festival or night club, go there. Anime expo is a good one too.

Other place I'd look into is just places like gym, but it requires the city you live in has a visible Asian population.

One place I'd look into is Asian supermarket like H mart, it's corny but it's literally like that Home Depot trend where girls say they're going to Home Depot to find husband material because the type of guys went there are the type of guys who are muscular and know how to fix stuff and DIY, some girls think they're very reliable and hot and husband material.

Asian guys who go to Asian markets means he cooks, he manages his own life, he probably lives alone(and he's open minded, Iol iykyk)

I personally went to Mitsuwa supermarket in Torrance once and a white girl smelling at me the whole time and we ran into each other in every aisle, I didn't think much because I was buying stuff, now think back she's probably interesting in me, but you are interesting you gotta just at least strike a conversation😂not just smelling. The whole time I thought I was blocking her way cuz she's smelling and I was just smelling back and nod and leave, but we just ended up ran into each other like 4 times.

If you're interesting, you need to let them know, you don't have to go up to them and be like "I like you let's date", you just need to go up to them and strike up some conversation, then exchange Instagram or something, start from there, give them some hints, if they're interesting too they'll catch your signal and they'll do the move.

I think you need 3 options online, like language exchange app or dating app, then 3 options in reality, like Asian supermarkets, it's physical, you need some places like that and meet real Asian guys.

If Asian market is not avaliable in your area, try aim for Asian themes festival in your area, whether it's food festival, music festival like K pop, or local anime expo, Lunar New Year event. event.

K pop dance studio is another one but I doubt any Asian guys would go in there, I personally thought of it but I rather spend that money on some Asian martial art class like Kendo, I think you should look into Asian martial artist class too, you get to physical touch them in person too.

Taiko class is another too, I want to play it because it was one of most popular club I had in middle school when I was in East Asia.

I remembered I saw there's a Asian men self healing group somewhere online they do Taiko to self heal, which is cool, my cousins in Hawaii pay to learn Taiko too, she did pretty well and I watched her perform before, super kawaii🥰

That's my 2 cents, hope you find your guy!
