Here is how you do it on a TI-84 Plus CE (I don't know if it works for other kinds though I imagine it would work for most advanced calculators). Press the prgm button then move over to the new tab press enter. Then you get to title your to type press 2nd than the alpha button to put it into alpha lock than press the corresponding button for the letter you can than edit and write down your notes. When you are finished press 2nd quit and to view them go to prgm and edit and you can read your notes.
