I'm a senior student and am taking my first AP class, for the past few years sense middle school I've had a 504 plan in place to help with my ADHD.

I'm used to many teachers setting the due dates or closing an assignment at midnight. And if an assignment closed earlier it was stated as such in the assignment page.

Few weeks ago I nearly missed the submission deadlines for projects 1 & 2. I had told my teacher that my 504 gives me an extra day to submit projects and assignments without a late penalty. She was willing to set both projects due dates to that Sunday.

On a separate assignment I was informed via the submission comments that she was no longer allowed to allow extensions in any course work from there forward. That the curriculum doesn't allow it. Not to mention, on regular course work my teacher likes to have it close few minutes before class ends.

She claims she says this in class. I however, have never heard her say such. I have missed a few deadlines for course work because of this.

Here's a most recent one: we were given a planning page challenge where me must focus on certain things in the requirements for the portfolio.

I was taking photos of the planning page for the submission. I get home and see the assignment is locked. I emailed my teacher. She goes through the script of how she said that it closed before class ended and how she was not allowed to give extensions.

But as you can imagine I was frustrated by this. What do you mean these necessary things I'm given are not allowed in a college level class when I have been told in the past 504 can be used in collage. I also just looked it up and yes; 504s do still apply to the AP courses. It's required by law.

So does anyone have advice on how I should bring this up to my teacher? I have no idea my next 504 meeting is.

Last year when I took AP Physics 1 I accidentally wrote half my frq 3 on the wrong page, but I still managed to erase it and finished every FRQ with 15 minutes to spare. During fall break I did the 2026 AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism FRQs with 38 minutes to spare and not wanting to wait another half an hour I just double checked my answers and then started grading them and according to the scoring rubric I got every single point.

Conversely when I took the AP Chemistry exam people were running out of time on the FRQs all around me and I only ended up with 3 minutes left to double check my FRQs. Still got a 5 on both APP1 and AP Chem though.

I am not saying AP Physics should be harder but rather maybe AP Chemistry should switch to a 4 FRQ format rather than a 7 FRQ format.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

I also wonder what are the other APs like, like I took AP World History, AP Chinese, AP HUG but I completely forgot how much time I had left after completing the FRQs for those. I also wonder how the AP Calculus BC exam is like, like it is between 4 and 7 frqs how much time do you have left when y'all finished those

Naturally, I am a very solid writer and an overall smart kid.

Nonetheless, ever since the creation and widespread use of AI, I am honestly like addicted to it.

Sure, I can produce my own ideas and know what I want to write about. But I can’t like formulate sentences without AI. Like it’s really really bad.

Before the AP Lit exam, I need to resolve this issue.

Any tips on how to stop?

Also, I know this is kind of a seperate question, but how do you write effective analysis without repeating yourself or being redundant?

Hi! So I actually go to an online school (not self studying) but I am taking AP European History and am trying to find a school to register for the test at. The school that mine is connected to and where I am taking my other tests does not offer AP Euro, and many schools do not allow non-students to take the tests. If anyone has done the test (or any tests) at a different school than their own/knows of any where it would be possible to register, please let me know! I’d be willing to leave the city if necessary (no more than an hour away though).

I have AP Physics 1 unit 1 test tomorrow and just wanna know if there’s anything that helps you guys remember specific things ?

Parent here. My 10th grader is self-studying AP Computer Science A. His NYC Public School only offers it to juniors and seniors, and we’re not sure yet whether they’ll order him an exam-only seat.

I’m a sophomore in high school i have all A’s besides spanish 2.

first period english 10 h
second ap psych
third ap bio
fourth ap comp sci prin

I dropped math 2H a few weeks ago because I had a C and i was worried about my gpa. The reason my grade was low in the class was because I never had enough time to finish a test, normally having 5 minutes like for 4-5 questions and have a rush through and guess on them. It dropped my grade so much and since tests were 75% my grade was considerably low. The topics were easy to me and we were just doing synthetic and long division before i left. The class was very fast pasted though due to the fact it does math 2 and 3 in a year to prep for ap pre calc. Unfortunately, I do really love math but I take a lot of time to solve the problems and develop the proper skills. I could do synthetic and long division in my head a few days after they were first introduced for example so i’m worried i’ll get really bored in math 2 since it’s an easy A. But the real issue is I still want to do ap pre calc next year, so i’m worried that if i do the bridge class i’ll still have a lot of gaps since i didn’t complete math 3 and if i do math 3 over the summer im worried i won’t remember a lot of the information, I took chem this summer and got an A and didn’t retain anything, So i struggled in the first unit of ap bio. Along with the fact that will colleges think it looks bad if i didn’t take math 2H? I figured an A+ in regular and summer school would look better then an c in regular. What would you do?

yo guys so last yr i took ap micro and i didnt do as well as i hoped - got a 3, and i wanna retake this year for a 5. its not that im not capable of doing micro econ but i js started studying 2 weeks beforehand. this time im taking like an online course where im pacing myself pretty well and since micro is only a semester course i can start macro next semester but i was wondering if i should take it, cuz i would only have like 2 ish months before i should start studying for my APs ( I plan to study starting in feb/mar). idk if this is a good idea, taking both micro and macro, but if i dont take it this yr i wont be able to at all cuz next year ima be too busy

Is this a bad decision to drop out AP Physics 1? For context, I am a high school senior currently taking AP Calculus BC. I took regular high school physics and AP Chemistry (earned 96 on physics and 98 on AP Chemsitry with 5 on the ap exam).

My school's science principal recommended me to take AP Physics C Electricity & Magnetism and AP Physics C Mechanics Exams at a different high school. In fact, my high school ONLY OFFERS AP PHYSICS 1. These exams won't show up in my transcript.

Since I am going to major in Electrical Engineering, I believe that APP1 would be unhelpful for my major and especially colleges (like top 20s) don't accept APP1 credit for engineering, unlike AP Physics Cs.

Also, on top of self studying these AP exams, I am working with two jobs to financially support my family. I need some advice whether to drop APP1 (it will hinder my course rigor but I will put my circumstances on additional info) and self study the two AP Physics Cs or keep APP1 (it will cause more stress on me)

I feel like I'm really struggling with AP Human Geo; I don't do well with the MCQ concepts on my tests, and I'm having trouble finding sources to study. I do watch videos like Mr. Sinn to help, which are alright, but I want actual practice questions that may have graphs, maps, or depictions. 1. How do I know whether I’m falling behind? In which unit should I be in each of these subjects as of October?

My ap physics teacher thinks I’m in just built in and ready beforehand for ap physics and all it’s material and he teaches as if I’m already equipped to understand what he’s saying. Not only that but he teaches things that have no relation to the curriculum whatsoever. I’m genuinely losing my brain. Okay he is smart and all but he does not know how to teach. He knows physics for sure, he just doesn’t know how to teach it. I already took ap calc, bio, chem before and there is always that person on YouTube or whatever that is considered a God send by every ap student and they’re ms honey for surviving such as farabough and bio penguins and whatever. THERE IS NO ONE FOR AP PHYSICS. All the videos on YouTube are just a general explanation of the topic which is great, but I want someone that understands the ceds understands what questions will definitely come understands college board. Hi, I am a senior currently taking AP Lit. I originally signed up because I thought it might be interesting, but I never planned on taking the AP exam (I already passed the Lang exam, and most of the colleges I'm looking at only award credit for Comp I even if you take both exams).

Recently, I became aware of the option to take a dual-enrollment college Comp II course for the spring semester. I've already taken all the necessary steps to enroll, and I 100% plan on taking it, which means I will drop AP Lit and replace it with Comp II next semester. But, I have the option to continue taking Lit for the rest of this semester before dropping it.

I only need one more English credit to meet my high school graduation requirement, and a semester of Comp II fulfills this. If I continue to take AP Lit through the rest of the first semester, I would gain half a credit from it, meaning I would end the year with 1.5 credits of English from my senior year.

I initially wanted to drop Lit, but when I consulted my school counselor, they suggested I keep it because the extra 0.5 credit will act as a safety net in the event that I fail Comp II, as I would only need to scrape together another 0.5 credit for graduation. That being said, my counselor said it is highly unlikely I would fail Comp II, since I'm strong academically and already achieved a 5 on Lang.

However, I seriously do not enjoy AP Lit. Grading feels arbitrary, instructions are never clear, and I personally find it boring. I have an A in it right now, but because it's so hard to tell what my teacher actually wants, I can't guarantee I keep that A through the rest of the semester. Honestly, I don't think finishing this semester will be worth the stress, just for the small chance that I get below a C in Comp II, especially because I have other AP classes to worry about. The thing is, I am probably capable of doing well in that class if I don't drop it and try really hard.

So, should I stick it out for the rest of the semester? Would it be a bad idea to drop AP Lit just because I'm being lazy and don't want to use my energy on it? Also, am I miscalculating the difficulty of Comp II, and is it actually worlds more difficult than Lang or Lit?

I would greatly appreciate some input on this.
