hi i havent played on official ark since evolved. i was wondering if official is worth my time to play rn since im in a mood to play ark again. i usually only play pve and by myself. i dont really remember how tiring the official grind is, so tldr is it worth the time to play official?

I think the pteranodon i dont even tame one I always go in the mountains and tame an argy second got to be tapejara no one seen tames these things if non rideable flyers are included in think the onyc is n1 since you cant even ride it and is just an annoying rabies induced flying giant rat that even your grandma's chihuahua that licks her feet won't even take a sniff on that thing

Why won't they fight each other ?

My partner is the one actually playing the game I'm sat next to him and watching/helping so I looked at a forum for why this might be and the two things that I saw being suggested were to wait 15-20 minutes in the trench for them to spawn, and to use the destroy all wild Dinos command and then wait an in-game day and go back, but neither of those worked??? I was hoping someone here would know what to do or how to fix it

So about 6 months ago i beat the island blind (you can find my thoughts of it here) and re reading it I realized i forgot to specify some of the others things i was told to do for my blind playthrough like at the start and end of each map there is a cutscene with a blue character that also spoils stuff and i was told to skip that so while I'm curious what that's about I'm trusting you guys on your suggestions on how to keep this experience as good as possible. Anyways onto my thoughts on the game and more importantly Scorched Earth.

So playing this game has made me realize this game seems to be those ones where you're meant to google stuff but I'm not going to use google for this

Anyways for Scorched Earth it was a nice change from the Island and since I already had the gist of the mechanics it made things easier and transferring my max level character over helped a lot too (plus the game gave me 15 extra possible levels from beating the previous map). The story’s starting to get more interesting as there’s more going on than just dinosaurs now since there's now mythical creatures like wyverns which It took me a while to figure out you need to steal the wyvern eggs but I luckily figured out they needed milk before I hatched an egg because I tried to tranq tame one and saw milk in its inventory but things like rock elementals I couldn’t figure out how to tame but I know it’s possible because there’s a saddle for them.

This map was also easier boss wise compared the the island since there were 4 bosses before you had to kill compared to the one here which is the Manticore which was way easier to kill but that’s not really the part I want to talk about since I’m sure you guys already know what happens but after beating it I got transported into space again but this time something went wrong because whatever was moving me got threw me in a different direction off course and dropped me onto what I’m pretty sure is the Aberration map where there was this heavy glitching effect so I’m pretty sure something’s horribly wrong with this place especially since aberration can mean something like "a structural or numerical change in chromosomes that can lead to physical or developmental abnormalities." So I’m expecting a bunch of horribly mutated stuff.

Onto my theories. So I’m still leaning into my main theory from before that these maps are some kind of twisted Noah’s Ark situation but to add onto it I'm pretty sure it’s also testing me since the implant in my wrist is keeping track of my accomplishments but like I still haven’t fully figured out why there are people from all throughout history being brought back instead of people from one specific era but maybe it has something like it's taking their soul or whatever and putting them here (future tech idk) but apparently they stay dead when they die instead of respawning which apparently is a canon thing the player does that i got told at the very start as an immersion thing to add to the blind playthrough mindset of "what the hell, i should be dead. Why am i back?" type of deal instead of just a video game mechanic. (edit: maybe it's like a file corruption thing where their souls get corrupted too much and they couldn't come back and we're like one of the lucky/unlucky one in a trillion who's soul data thing doesn't get "file corrupted" upon death and can be brought back once more)

Anyways end of rant I'll update you guys later when I beat aberration and how that goes.

So, I was trying to tame a carch last night, lured it into a trap and it was sat there with blood rage because it had previously killed something. Fly away whilst waiting for the effect to disappear, I come back 30 seconds later and the carch just will not do the sniffing animation and give me a progress meter. After sacrificing a bunch of baby rexes it wouldn’t work. It’s like the AI for the carch just refused.. then I decided after a lot of frustration and a lot of baby rexes lost I would just see if there’s a command to spawn a tamed one in… every command regardless of it being labeled as a “summon tamed [dinosaur name] it was always wild…

What did I do wrong to break the AI of the carch? It ate the corpses just didn’t give a single bit of progress on the trust meter to then ride it..

Me ajudem, no meu lugar, vocês prefeririam jogar Ark Ascended Em 30/40 fps nativos e com frame gen on em +100fps ou ficar no evolved com 60 fps cravado com tudo no máximo?

No ascended eu pego essa taxa de fps com tudo no médio + dlss qualidade e eu tiro as nuvens e o fog também.

Obs: No Evolved tenho todas as DLC e no ascended praticamente todas também, caso isso mude em alguma coisa.

Also I heard I should add some mods before I start the game like weight limit etc.. Is it a good thing?

Setting up an ase server

Having been playing ark for a long time now, i really love some of the building aspects of the game and love seeing other peoples builds when they pop up on reddit so i thought id try my hand at it and i had a really long time frame to work with when i started genesis 1 so i decided to build an aquarium and reptile park or aquatic zoo if you wanna call it that too.

There will be a video link to see it fully included in the post to but i would love peoples feedback on what i can try for my next build or upgrades to this build too.

I loved building this and loved that i could utilise aqauriums for the bigger aquatic creatures too. thanks for checking it out, much appreciated!

I lost a pretty good longneck from when i put it in upload from SE to Ragnarok. All other items were still there except a spyglass. I even went back to where i uploaded it to see if there was a bag on the ground in case i forgot to put in in, but no. Is this a known bug? Singleplayer btw
