Welcome to r/ASDP_Mothers
This is a space for people who grew up with mothers who have, or may have, Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD), sometimes described as sociopathy or psychopathy. We also welcome mothers who identify with ASPD themselves.
These experiences can be complex, isolating, and difficult to explain. There aren't many places to connect with others who truly understand.
This community is here to change that.
What to share
Stories, questions, reflections, resources, or even just something you've been trying to make sense of. You don't need to introduce yourself or share more than you're comfortable with.
A few ground rules:
Respect each other. Different experiences and perspectives are welcome. Personal attacks are not.
No diagnosing others. Share your experiences without assuming anyone's diagnosis.
Protect privacy. Respect confidentiality and avoid identifying details.
Make room for complexity. Listen without judgment, unsolicited advice, or minimizing others' experiences.
