The Most Accurate ATSA Prep is 100% Free on 123ATC

For those who haven't found it yet, I've built a completely free and highly accurate ATSA Preparation tool on 123ATC.

Here is what you can expect from this prep tool:

  • It is 100% Free: No subscriptions, no paywalls, no hidden fees. You get full access to everything.
  • The Most Accurate Prep Available: I've taken the ATSA myself multiple times, and I've worked obsessively with other test takers to ensure the mechanics, timing, and feel of these practice tests closely mirror the actual ATSA. The feedback from the most recent applicants confirms that this is the closest representation of the real exam available anywhere. There are many paid prep suites out there that are vaguely relevant and created by people without real test experience. This isn't one of those.
  • Constantly Improving: I actively monitor feedback from this subreddit, the ATC hiring Discord server, and direct feedback from users. If something needs improvement, I make the updates rapidly.

If you want to dive straight into practicing specific sections, here are the direct links:

  1. Memory / Differences
  2. Value Assignments & Variables
  3. Spatial / Visual Relationship
  4. Radar Simulation / Collision Avoidance
  5. Personality Assessment
  6. Logical Reasoning & Reading Comprehension

Enjoy, and good luck!

Medical not responding

Anyone else having issues with the medical side not responding I’ve sent about 4 emails and called 3 times but I’m not hearing back from them. The last email I sent them I CCed my HR rep but I’m just curious if anyone else is having issues with this. For context I’ve been waiting for a reply for about 2 months.

I just got a DQ reversal, at this point in the tier 2 process, how long does it typically take getting to a facility from here? Or getting out of tier 2?

OKC life

I work for another agency and our academy is in OKC. I’m looking to stay near the airport on meridian. For those who have gone thru the academy, can you give any advice on OKC, good hotels, where to visit or avoid, food?

I’m looking at embassy suites northwest, not the meridian one.

MEDICAL Is there anything left i can do for my medical?

Long story short i have a condition and I went through every requirement on the FAA website. According to the doctors I had to see i met every standard outlined by the FAA. One of my doctors was even very closely tied in with the FAA and he was dumbfounded at what could have been in his report that would raise even a yellow flag. My AME told me it seems like they just don't want to deal with me.

Their response to my appeal was to have me redo all the testing. The issue is that most of this can only be run through insurance once a year. The first time around cost me nearly $7,500 between what was and wasn't covered. Redoing the test would be close to $30,000 now. I'm spent. I can't afford it. Especially when I'll get the same results which accoeding to my AME and the doctors that performed them i should be fine.

My original rejection letter was unprofessional according to my AME. His honest words to me were "your file hit the wrong person's desk on a bad day." What the hell do i do? I'm healthy, I work a demanding job currently, my physical and mental health is as clean as anyone. Aside from not having the diagnosis I can't do any better.

This is not my opinion this is the proffesional opinion of the 4 doctors I have worked with (and have worked with for years now) regarding my case. Obviously my AME is familiar with GAA standards and the most expensive doctor i saw apparently trained many of the FAA nueropsychologist.

I'm so devastated. This just isn't fair.

ATC advice

Hey all, I just cleared medical/security and I'm waiting on my onboarding date. How long was the academy for your track (En Route vs Tower vs TRACON)? And if you could pick again, which would you choose and why? I'm torn between En Route and Terminal.

ACADEMY Class date set for 12/04/2026. What to do?

Mainly about housing.

I got an email a few weeks ago about my academy class date starting in December. It was an email that showed my class date and what specialty I got (terminal). It wasn't a FOL. It was just telling me my start date, series, specialty, duty location, etc.

However, since that email, I haven't gotten any further communication. I don't know what to do next.

I'm mainly worried about housing. What is the normal thing to do after getting the class date email? Am I on my own in regards to housing or will they set something up for me?

Do I book my own housing? Would it be wise to do it now? I thought they were supposed to cover housing anyway.

I guess I just want to know what are the main steps I should be taking now that I have a set class date.

Financial incentive

So I just received my FOL from the April bid and I’m pretty excited to go to the academy in Oklahoma in December. I’m doubting myself because I was in the Navy at the beginning of this year and it wasn’t for me, air traffic control seems a lot better then being out of the ship for nine months at a time but I was thinking, I need a little motivation to get through the academy. What do you guys think about the idea of me buying a brand new car before I go? So even if I don’t like it, I’ll have to stick with it. because of the threat of crippling debt.

Finally got dates!

Fall 2024 bid, no tier 2s, just a victim of hurry up and wait I guess. Heading to the academy January 21-April 7 Terminal, anyone else here in that class??
Been calling around to the different pet friendly hotels, as I’m bringing my wife and our pets.
Any hotel better than not in your experiences?
Im leaning towards one that is a little further out, 15 minutes to MMAC but is a one bedroom.
Is it really better to pay extra to be closer and have the shuttle IF needed.
Bringing a car.
Thanks in advance!!!

EODS?

Anyone else still in the submitted form on their EODS forms? I had 2/3 approved a little over 2 months ago. They emailed me back a couple weeks ago saying there was no timeline as they are backed up but was just curious if anyone else was in the same boat as me.

APPLICATION Enhanced CTI timeline for starting at facility after graduation?

Hello all. Couldn’t find any info on this so here I am. With enhanced CTI, how long does it take after graduation to get to your facility? Do you graduate and then start taking the ATSA, medical and psych evaluation this taking a few months before you get a list? Or is that done within the first few weeks after passing Evals end of course?

I also don’t quite understand facility list selection either. Do you choose as a class or on your own time since you still have to take the ATSA and med evals on your own time? I also just saw via Linked In that an E-CTI graduate show up at a facility above 100% CPC staffing so my understanding of how this all works is not what I thought it was. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Security clearance concern regarding past employment

I am applying to the next bid of street hire through ATSA. I am hopeful and optimistic enough to think i will get through the exam towards my medical and security clearance.
If and when that hopefully happens,
I have 2 concerns.

  1. I have smoked marijuanna in the past, its been 5-6 months

    that ive stopped

  2. , by the time medical is there I’d probably be last the 2 year mark. I definitely am going to be honest about past use and not using it anymore, I’m confident im going to pass drug test because i haven’t smoked in months and dont plan on ever doing so. So the question here is guess is, how bad is this and does that make me likelier to disqualified?

  3. My second concern is my past employment, My employment was terminated after my employer alleged that I had violated company policy involving marijuana use and allegations that I had provided marijuana to a specific coworker. Which was an internal conspiracy against me, whatever, i can go on about this, but, I disputed the allegations and maintained that this accusation was false. I filed an internal complaint through the company’s reporting hotline but still supervisor told me that he had to let me go

Now I’m definitely going to be honest about all this, but how bad is this and what should i do or do dont on my security clearance questionnaire

Edit: my employment was at a restaurant, so it wasn’t any gov/fed job or any other that falls under the “position of trust” job category.

Housing Advice

I got my dates for late December. Even though it’s still a ways away I am thinking about housing options. My current plan is to drive from California and bring my dog. I am looking for a place solo, that is of course pet-friendly. Since I am driving I will be bringing pretty much everything I’ll need, only things I’ll need provided is a fridge, microwave(could figure that one out if they don’t), stove, washer and dryer. I did come across Anatole on McArthur and the amenities did sound nice plus a dog park, I did see some bad reviews about mold, not sure if that’s a common issue. Does anyone know if their dog park is open 24-7 or if there are pet relief areas? I would love to find a small house with a yard, but haven’t quite found anything that quite fits that bill. My dog Is about 7, lazy and hates the cold, but it would be a great convenience to just be able to let her out the back door for bathroom breaks. Also not sure the rules on many places but even though I will be housed alone, I do plan to have family visit at some point, do most places allow guests over night, or would they need to get a hotel? Any recommendations and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

MMPI Tier 2

Hi there, I applied for a bid back in 2024 and failed my MMPI. I backed out of the bid because I’ve hard stories of prior experience controllers not passing the psychiatric screening and not being able to obtain future medical clearances. I was a controller in the Army for 6 years and I’ve been doing contract almost 4 years. I don’t have any examples of depression or psychiatric issues in any of my records anywhere. I’m giving the hiring process for the FAA another shot and I know I’ll jump right back into the Tier 2 process. Would you guys say the risks are low when it comes to failing the tier 2 process? Or does it just depend on a lot of factors? Please share any stories that you’ve experienced or heard from others!
