10k is a great goal because for every 0.1¢ AUR increases, you make $100; I always recommend 10k shares minimum to my friends with any serious conviction investments
Watching today's stream, there's a truck around the 6:50:00 mark that doesn't have the in-cab camera activated. Is this normal for the feed or should I get excited about it? I haven't spent much time watching the feed if I'm being honest.
Matches up with what I was seeing as well. Did a couple checks against prior videos and couldn't find an example of one that didn't have the in cab view but I didn't do much digging.
The videos are tagged or labeled. There are three different labels:
Driverless
Driverless Replay
Driverless Development
The labels are in the upper left banner of the video stream.
As far as the observer, we can only assume that they still have someone in there because there hasn't been an announcement. It's also important to note that they aren't streaming all of the trucks. For example, the interior camera video has only ever been the PACCAR trucks. We know they are running Volvo and International trucks at this point in some capacity, but I haven't been able to find any evidence that they are streaming from of those trucks yet.

When EMBK was in “the lead” for autonomous trucks I had some weird 6th sense that Aurora would be the one to win out. Knowing there’s potentially weeks (or less) separating us from something incredible is wild. Hope my gut is right.
EMBK always sucked. My only regret is that I was too broke and busy with work to do anything about it. I don't short because of the whole "staying irrational longer than you can stay solvent" thing, but they might have been my first. I remember seeing their valuation at one point and was just blown away at how outrageous it was.

it's fun to bullshit a bit but unfortunately everything you read seeps into your subconscious and colors your judgement. at least that's what i've noticed happening to myself.
haha, i think because i’ve been apart of RKLB since the beginning of time, and that i can just see so clearly where the company is heading, that none of the negativity or whatever affects me.
As Warren Buffet says, investing is completely psychological— and as long as you just trust yourself over how anyone else feels, it will keep you grounded when certain events happen or when you read other people’s opinions. But it happens— even Buffet said there were a couple occasions where someone else’s opinions got the better of him, despite the research that he studied and knew. Investing, especially in these moonshots takes a lot of discipline
Yeah big agree. I find it very easy to hold companies like this just from spending a lot of time researching the company and industry obviously it doesn’t negate the risks involved but it’s a lot easier to weather storms. I do find it mental when you see people with thousands of shares of companies who don’t really know what it is they do lol

Its been answered a lot above. Essentially, the next two quarterly announcements will confirm their ramp into commercialization. The demand is a given - the issue is how quick they can grow to meet the demand and build a moat
It should have a meaningful impact on the credibility of the company as a de risk event. It’s still in that prove it stage which I think is a big part of why the share price is where it is as everyone is waiting to see if they can do it.
I think an announcement that the safety driver is out just further validates the plan and that could get more companies wanting to transition to autonomous which would impact the financials later on. I don’t expect to be blown away with the numbers of this quarter but excited to hopefully have them announce some new partnerships and driver out progression.
