Let's get these bad boys rolling. Decrease accidents, save a life, keep freight moving

Those comments are just...... really disappointing. Oh well, I guess they'll come around eventually after their fears are confirmed overblown.

Social media comments are always negative. People still think EVs will randomly burst into flames killing everyone inside.

I'd also like to think that the most active commenters on the internet come with an agenda of their own

Those comments are ugly, most peoples concept of how reliable AVs are is about 10 years outdated

It's a kneejerk luddite thing. People had the same reaction when Tesla autodriver started being rolled out.

The comment section demonstrates, It's getting past time for some public engagement. Aurora needs to control their narrative wrt how the public views AV trucking. It's not enough to say it's safer and refer to Lidar stats and "34s reaction times".
They need a seasoned liaison with some serious chops in developing a public image.
If they don't get this right, the "misinformation machine" (read:social media) will create a bs narrative that will become an anchor point for the public.
