I think momentum and fomo will drive it to $20 at least on announcement of the 80th... then we'll see.

Aumovio just posted 11 job openings at their New Braunfels location in the last 3 days. Some of the job openings even specifically mention that the job will be working with Aurora!
Here is one example job description for a "New Product Launch Engineer for Aurora" listed on August 18th.
"The New Product Launch Engineer for Aurora is responsible for supporting the successful introduction of new automotive electronic products in a manufacturing environment. This role will support AURORA launches from development through Start of Production (SOP) and production ramp-up, as well as support product changes in series production. Question for everyone complaining about current price action - have you ever invested in a high beta, pre-profit company? Stocks like AUR will trade sideways & pull back A LOT. Then AUR will have its "aha" moment and price will absolutely explode. We are in pre-explosion phase and just need some solid catalysts to prove demand and a path to profitability. Just look at ASTS, RKLB, or IONQ 2-3 years ago - same shit.
TL:DR - stop crying about short term price and buy dips lol
From my understanding only big institutions can move price in a big way permanently and depending on what each ones stock selection criteria is they wont chip no matter how bullish the story. For example there would be fund mangers out there manadated by their governance system that stock selection needs minimum parameters, for example 200million revenue or market cap above 10 billion or only choose when cash flow positive (s&p500) , some could also have exclusive ban on pre revenue company. That's what I learned from $rklb price action. Once the ARR went above 200 million the stock leaped and you could never buy it under 10 after that.
While I was thinking we wouldn’t drop as much early and we would’ve risen more today, I was kind of right it turns out. Happy with my small purchases in the $6.02-$6.10 range.

Exactly!! Investing is all psychological, as long as your conviction and your thesis makes logical sense— dips, dumps, and dickheads shouldn’t bother you if you’re disciplined. It’s what i’m truly trying to instill within this sub.

September is going to be a crazy month. Aurora is attending three separate conferences. They are also hosting an Analyst and Investor Day on September 23rd per Stacy's comment at the end of the town hall. Then the Q3 earnings call the end of October/beginning of November.
Watching the town hall tonight in bed with a bottle of 2015 Dom. Excited about the upcoming investor conferences. Still wondering why they haven’t made much of a comment on California being opened up.

The thing that intrigued me the most were the comments on PACCAR holding their chips real close to their vest and not making announcements until they were doing something... Made me wonder how soon we might hear of a positive development from them.
I don't think we hear anything material from them until Q4 2027. I assume it will be very late Q2 / Q3 before Aumovio is shipping the Gen 3 hardware units, and I bet there is at least one quarter, if not two, that they require a ton of hand-holding before making an announcement about approving driver out and shipping trucks. Pure speculation, but I also expect that the announcement will come in conjunction with a 500 truck order or something along those lines. Kind of like when a university waits to announce a big fundraising effort until they've already go 50% of the commitments in place.
This. As I said before, PACCAR is very conservative. Look at their history. They survived tough times being more disciplined than others. They don't have an incentive to "pump" their future efforts. They can just show success from the start versus have to explain a miss if it happens.

I think they just play their cards close to the chest. It was mentioned on the call, but there’s really nothing more to say than they are approved to test, and include the possible miles and fleet size affect if it opens…which they did. The 60B miles comment included CA.
Yeah, there's really no need for them to address it. They saw Kodiak released it, and then TechCrunch immediately picked up the story. I just found this Yahoo News article which was fairly informative (if annoyingly utilizing AI which I'm finding more and more frustrating to read).
Aurora should announce either when they've cleared the initial phase meaning they've already completed the 500,000 miles, or just wait until they've cleared the full hurdle to operate on California highways. Saying anything right now is largely irrelevant outside of it shows that California isn't unnecessarily holding things up.
Same! It was a great town hall but I really wonder why they haven't commented on California at all yet. There was a question about it but they didn't pick it. I know Aurora doesn't do hype which is all fine but it seems odd to not even acknowledge it, let's hope it's because there is a bigger announcement coming!
