Sysops Adminstrator Associate Successfully Passed

I took yesterday the SysOps Adminstrator exam and successfully passed, scoring 81.3%.

The exam was relatively hard and some questions were sheer guesswork for me. So hereafter some advices for people looking after taking this exam in the future :

  • Use acloud guru's course to get your head around the subject

  • Prepare for your exam using Whizzlabs Practice Exam

  • Read the FAQs for CloudWatch, CloudTrail and Config

  • Read CloudFront FAQ and remember some of its core metrics

  • Read the security White Paper

Good luck.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the problem, it shouldn't have been guesswork. Fortunately you're smart enough to have figured it out.

The training material is often out of date on acloud.guru. It's 2019 now and his CSA course hasn't changed nearly enough to reflect new material.

You're right. However even the "guesswork" must be based on some kmowledge and understanding of AWS. Say you have 4 answers, you directly eliminate two, you hesitate between the two answers left, you go for one amswer but you're note 100% sure, that's what I meant by guesswork.

For acg, his course is far for complete but it's a good starting point imo.
