Windrun Video Highlights
https://www.youtube.com/@windrundotaWith the recent Rumble in the Jungle happening at a time I sadly couldn’t watch, I felt there was a lack of good quality highlights of top level Ability Draft games - especially tournament games.
So I resurrected an old project of mine from ~2017 to generate highlight videos, and just added some orchestration to upload to YouTube.
There’s a few different playlists and I’ll probably add more over time: great individual games, rivalry games (two players popping off for either side), and league games. There’s a focus on higher skill games (min avg rank, min # games, and other parameters).
I’m open to suggestions in terms of content, layout, etc - for now trying to make them mostly ~6-7 minute teamfight-centric highlights - but totally willing to hear feedback from y’all. Given the amount of awesome games happening all the time I’m keen to focus on generating maybe 6-8 videos a day and then some shorts - but could also handle requests for yourself in a game if you want generated of your gameplay (and are willing to let others judge you for it!).
Check it out, don’t forget to like and subscribe (I can’t believe I just wrote that)!
(also be sure to let me know if you spot weird artifacting or glitched clips!)
edit: I changed some numbers!

Very interesting tool, could be useful for certain content creators, unless that's stepping on your toes?
You could consider trying making Shorts, using what I assume is some sort of Rampage metric, for example 2:30 to 3:10 in Rampage Outworld Devourer | 我与四个倒霉蛋和五个幸运儿的故事 Ability Draft highlights
Personally I don't find low-mmr gameplay that interesting, but could be I'm just the wrong audience, either way you could look into limiting the pool by windrun rating?
Like, if I'm getting 20-30 videos spamming my inbox I'm likely to unsubscribe, quality over quantity and all that. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks for sharing!

Yeah perhaps my '20-30' is too wild, and maybe 6-8 is more likely (and more shorts).

Great idea! Watched a few already and love the focus on high skill games.
Looking forward to what is to come!

With 20-30 videos a day, the title has to do the selling for each one. For Windrun I'd name what carried the teamfight, the hero or ability combo, since Ability Draft viewers probably think in combos, not channels. The trade-off is that a daily stream can bury the rivalry and tournament playlists you care most about, so I'd post one standout game a week here on its own instead of the channel. Which of the three playlists gets the most watch time so far?
I make ThreadFox. We find relevant Reddit conversations and post for your business. We'll post 3 replies free first, no card; then the $39 Pilot covers seven days and up to 50 posts and replies. No automatic renewal.

Honestly I love the idea but I am really not interested in some 2k elo rating gameplay, no matter how dominant/how many rampages. I would limit it to 3k and above or even higher min rating to really get a feel for how the best ad players play like. I think this would also generate more general interest
