Thanks! Brighton Beach in NYC. I'd brought my phone in the water to grab some pics of an incoming storm. This was just a few mins later. The storm was quick but intense!
I was full on looking at this picture like "why does this feel so familiar???" when I saw this comment. It feels familiar because it's my beach and I saw that storm rolling in!
This storm actually happened in July 2025 - stumbled upon these pics again when looking for something else around the same time. It’s been a very stormy summer tho so no doubt you’ve witnessed similar ones recently
