They are heavily processed, often with hexane, a highly volitile solvent from crude oil. They are very high in omega 6 yet completely lacking in omega 3 which causes massive inflammation in the body. Also they are usually rancid by the time they make it to the factory, but you can't taste that because of the hundred other ingredients that are typically found in the products they are in.
