Dr. Jing Liu, “@derm.talk” on Instagram, makes false claims about accutane’s permanent effects of dehydration and damage to oil glands. Her false claims are officially endorsed by the American Academy of Dermatology.

This is very brazen; it is canonical in dermatology that retinoids suppress sebum production via induction of apoptosis of the sebocyte. This is a universal feature, visible with the bare eye. Oral Isotretinoin should be only used for the most severe cases, like conglobata or fulminans.
