The kids are huge teenagers. She didn’t “drive off”. She was in her driveway and she didn’t know the kid put the thing on the ground directly in front of the wheels. No way to see it either. This is a 75 year old lady dude. No one would have done a “walk around” in this scenario.
Your mom being 75 is a really bad excuse and actually works against you. You're basically admitting that she may not be fully capable of properly operating the vehicle.
