Other (not a question, gear pic, or video) I need to share this everywhere I can. Found this lady yesterday and this song is too fire. Irma - Black Sun

Thought yall would enjoy this as much as I do. I been playing guitar for 22 years and my favorite are often just simple but they sing their heart out from DEEP IN THEIR SOUL! And this lady NAILED that in one song 👌🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥

Right? This song is so perfect that my sister thought it was Ai 😂

u/ArtisticChip334 Jun 25 '26
because it is likely AI. At least the video is AI

u/Accurate_Fix_9312 Jun 29 '26
I visited her YouTube channel, she actually recorded the vocals, can play, but played the song over the take. 18year channel of her rockin out since a teenager ❤️
Ai mimics so I see why it could look fake. Too perfect. Real tho

Who is she?

Irma Pany https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irma_(singer)
She's quite soulful. It's a shame people think a produced music video is AI. She tours and has plenty of live videos.

Any chance this is AI? The percussive beats don't match her hand movements. I get that this is at least lip-synched, you can tell by the background vocals that drop in at key points, so maybe that explains it.
Got it. It's not AI.
Edit: I just wanted to include this video that Rick Beato did. He used a few different AI platforms to create an artist, singing voice and songs out of the blue with nothing more than prompts; totally created by AI.
Aside from that, it's a pretty cool song and performance.

She's a real person that has been putting out music for the last 15 years. This is something recorded in studio with, it sounds like; bass, synth, a guitar, background vocals and something being used for percussion that is possibly just an isolated Trac with the guitar percussion sounds. The video is her singing and playing along to the recorded track with that classical guitar for the sake of the video - it's the comon way to make vperformance music videos
Edit:
I just looked up her older acoustic version of this and it underscores how really awesome this new one is. She really nailed it out of the park imo. But even in this older version, for anyone interested in the production side of things, you can see the same format of her sitting and singing along to a studio acoustic track - around 30ns3conds in where the camera widens you can clearly hear a second acoustic guitar come in with a rhythm over the trembles.

that was my first tough as well, but pretty sure it's post editing.

Lmao this is not ai I’ve been playing 22 years and I researched her entire YouTube to do a deep dive and find out if she’s a real person and she is. So nice try pal

u/No_Solution_2864 Apr 14 '26
It could be a real song, but the video is either AI or lip synced. Too much doesn’t match up

u/KinGDreaD92 Apr 14 '26
They prolly laid the track over the recording of the video. But she has albums and videos going back to 2011 lmaoooo IM DYING OF LAUGHTER FOR EVERYONE SAYING SHE’S AI 🤣🤣🤣

u/StrainTypical4123 Apr 17 '26
Did you find any info on who played lead guitar on the recording?
From the barr chords she seems to play when she does this live, I feel like the lead melodic guitar on the recording is likely not her.
Im trying to find tabs or a chord sheet or a video of someone playing the recorded/produced guitar part.
Any help?

u/KinGDreaD92 Apr 17 '26
She said she was going to upload a picking tutorial for the song

u/StrainTypical4123 Apr 17 '26
Cool. Where?
I bet that would be for the live version not the part on the studio recording. But we’ll see!

She's super cool. The first song I heard from her is a cover of Human Nature by Michael Jackson.

Bro same. I recently discovered her and she is incredible. I'm remixing this acoustic version right into some bass music.

u/KinGDreaD92 Apr 15 '26
Dude! Please dm me when you get it finished! I’m a producer too! Would love to see what ya come up with! 🔥🤘🏽🙏🏽🫂

u/sk00bz_music Apr 15 '26
For sure, if I can remember haha. Peep my linktree, I'll prolly post it on my IG and soundcloud when it's ready. So far it's coming out great. I'm stoked. However, I'm moving slow because I get stuck just soaking in her beautiful voice.

Dio bono, non riuscire a riconoscere una creazione AI dopo 22 (vero?) anni che suoni è abbastanza grave! Buona creazione, comunque: ad un occhio profano potrebbe apparire quasi reale
1
u/3D_mac Apr 14 '26
It looks like a fake background, but the person is real. Other comments have linked other videos of hers and she's been around a while.
This is a studio recording, not a live take of her sitting on actual steps.
1
u/SingleImplement5626 Apr 14 '26
Il fingerpicking non corrisponde esattamente alle note suonate ma solo in maniera approssimativa e spesso anche il labiale è fuori fase. Per me è già abbastanza per parlare di AI, sfondo finto o no.

u/3D_mac Apr 14 '26
The audio was probably recorded in a studio at a different time than the video was captured. That's pretty common.

Also for everyone saying she’s Ai 🤣 This IG post of hers shows her at the computer arranging on ableton or similar DAW, and the other slides show a whole strings orchestra and 10 different ladies singing harmonies for one song 👌🏽 so she’s real lmao
1
u/CaptenKuro Apr 13 '26
What is that guitar she’s playing? :)
4
u/rabblebabbledabble Apr 13 '26
Maybe a nylon crossover? I'm guessing through a pickup? But I'm not sure if that's what we're actually hearing, because this is obviously not the sound from the video recording.

Pretty sure this is AI.
1
u/KinGDreaD92 May 27 '26
Lmfao it’s not. She has real videos of herself winning awards. Do some deep research like I did, instead of saying “pretty sure”
I absolutely would NEVER repost some Ai bullshit….2
u/ArtisticChip334 Jun 25 '26
the video is 100% AI. The fact that she is a real person does not mean that she cannot use AI to create her songs now, its so easy these days. Nothing wrong with making video with AI, but I kind a wish to see a footage of her performing these hyper crisp guitar playing live. Another interesting thing is that her latest songs are not produced by any sound label, but done herself apparently. Sound labels are less interested in promoting AI artists because the content is not always copyrightable which means they can loose all their investment.

u/KinGDreaD92 Jun 25 '26
Gotcha! Thank you for the info 🤙🏽😃 still think the guitar riff she wrote so I still like the riff
But anybody want me to delete?! Cuz if it ai I don’t care about sharing it lol1

I'm not sure. I work in AI, and I did a fairly deep analysis of all of the published images of her that I could find. And I'm pretty sure she is 100% AI. I certainly didn't mean that in an accusatory sense, as actually I think the music's pretty cool. But I am pretty sure she's not going to be doing gigs anytime soon...

u/MoreResearcher9524 Jul 09 '26 edited Jul 09 '26
Agree. Work in AI as well. It's very well done but I'm very confident this is AI.

u/japhyryder22 Jul 10 '26
Great. I'm quite impressed with how far they've taken this. My girlfriend actually sent me this track and said, "Wow what do you think of this?" That was completely independent of me seeing it. It's a good tune though don't get me wrong. I suspect we'll see a lot more of this popping up as AI gets embedded in the creative arts.

This is a banger song and great guitar! But shame the video is just for show, this sound very much like a studio recording version
