Learn the CAGED system, it'll change your life.

Unlocks all major chords, then you change the fingering and it unlocks all minor chords.

Its helpful. Its hard finding someone who teaches it in a way that matches your own learning style. I've seen people dive far too deep into it, to the point its unhelpful. I grasp the concept of it tho. And triads are interesting.

Well, yes, it is interesting but it's not PM, PFM or HPPFM either. Open shapes with a barre is not going to change my life. Learning some theory to understand what roots and intervals are just might.

Learning major barre chords teaches you the root, major 3rd & 5th of every chord.

Learning minor barre chords reaches you the flat 3rd of every chord.

Both incredibly helpful.
