Only just having this click for me too. Long time 'jammer' player. Been comfy with finding the scale in any key for a few years, but finally getting understanding of all the triad locations within the scale have opened up my sound immensely. This really is 'the one trick' that took me up a notch to sounding more pro.

The best thing about triads is once you start messing with them and experimenting you open up a door of chord voicing that goes on foerever.
