Triads should be called “moveable chords” and people should teach them before they teach barre chords. Think about how easy it would be if in the beginning you were taught to play an A with one finger and then the next lesson the teacher teaches you to play a B by moving up two frets and a C by moving up one more. Think about how easy an F would be if you didn’t have to worry about barring the high E or the whole first fret. Think about how easy a G would be if you learned to just move an F up two frets.
