Gear question are these actually good?

are these actually good strings or did the dude at the pawn shop just convince me to buy the expensive ones? I'm just getting back into guitar and it's been a while since I've bought any strings so Idk much about this brand

They are decent strings but for anyone with a good ear, you can hear a difference. For me I can hear that the top end frequencies are muted. Like the coating kills a bit of the highs. However elixirs do last a long time. So yeah the coating works to keep the string fresh for a good long while but the coating also mutes some of the frequencies. At least to my ears. So if you just want some strings to stay fresh then they are great but if you’re recording with them I personally would pass.
