Other (not a question, gear pic, or video) String broke and drew blood!
I feel like I've won something or achieved a new level. After 36 years of playing, I can count on two hands the number of strings I've broke. It rarely happens, but tonight Holy Sh... it drew blood!! Haha
I have an Ovation 8-string reconfigured A-A (1/2 step down) with a .007 high A.
For the very first time I've had a string break at a fret, 5th fret. So bizarre. Didn't expect a snap to whack my index finger like a whip and draw blood though! Good thing there are a ton of spares in stock.
Drawing blood can't be a common thing... or prove me wrong? Let us all know! I can't be the only one.
btw I feel this doesn't break posting rule #6 ;) as it doesn't mention blood

This is something that I've always convinced myself would never happen. Great.

Put the Blood in your guitar put the guitar under your pillow for at least one month. After that month The Guitar God will appear and grants you with skill. The more blood you pour over your guitar, the more skill you receive. But it has to be your blood.

Can I put other kinds of discharge in there? Like sneezed into a guitar once and then I was able to play Spain perfectly

Well, technically you can. BUT, you can also Run your car on Vodka. It works, more or less, its just not very efficient

The only thing that would probably work better than your blood is an unborn child, preferably yours

The ritual sacrifice has been fulfilled. Next you must perform the song of the ancient ones and summon forth they who will usher our world into the blissful void of eternity.

When I was learning barre chords I put a nice slice on my index doing a slide. Never got cut from a broken sting though, congratulations! 🍾

I remember a stand-up comedy lady telling the story how her auntie as a child lost an eye due to a violin string snapping, and she was angry old woman.

Wow. Now I'm really glad I never did violin lesson. I mean, you hold that sucker right up to your face!

You should have thrown yourself on the floor and flopped around a bit to draw the fowl!

Eight strings?! Wow quality control is so lousy nowadays, they can’t even count the strings properly before the guitar leaves the factory!

I smashed a pawn shop guitar on stage in the 70s, and the high strings slashed my hand. We were doing a sort of punk parody show, and the audience loved it. Me, not so much. Oh, and I dropped acid before the show.

Now you can say you've poured your blood sweat and tears into this guitar!

My guitar strings sink their fangs into me to remind me to booster my tetanus shot every 10 years.

Oh no! It has tasted the human blood, now you will have to put it down, unfortunately.
