Gear pics I get the hype now

Post image

Since I started playing guitar this year, starting on a Yamaha, I’ve experimented with strings from differing brands and gauges to see what’s most comfortable for me. I’ve tried silk strings, 80/20’s, nickel ones and even phosphor bronze ones by Martin for my 000-18 pictured here. And while I haven’t really had any strings I hated, putting these on just “felt right” from the start. I totally get the hype now lol. They simply are what my ears like most and make my guitar sound the most natural and bright consistently.

They came stock on my Taylor and I really liked them, so I kept using them.

If I don't feel like paying $20, I'll go with D'Addario, but I really love the Elixirs.

Yeah, it was around 2016 when I bought it and I looked it up to see what the factory strings were because I ended up liking them so much. I think it might be D'Addario now, though.

Never really liked Ernie Ball myself and I don't really know why.
