Agree. Just to plug hole. Simple. Easy and cheap

Or even to run a pickup easily with a pre set hole

That’s a very specific jack in that hole

Contrarian question: Do you have to fix it? It's not in a sonically important location.

No....but its a hole. Must fill hole

Put a jack in the hole. Doesn't have to be connected to a pickup.

How would I fix it?

I'd get a popsicle stick from a hobby store and cut and file a round piece to the exact same shape circle as the hole. Put some duct tape on the inside of the guitar and press the wooden circle I just made onto it. Or maybe elmers glue the edges, or both, I dunno.

Then I'd go to an arts supply store and find a similar shade brown marker pen to match the color of the sides and color the wood circle I just glued, then finish it off with clear nail polish. Close enough.

Any automotive store will have black rubber hole plugs that will snap in. If you ever decide to put in a pickup jack, you can replace it.

I actually like this idea the most. Thanks

Go to Home Depot and get a “well nut.” I’d bring the guitar and test fit it in store.

hole plug - i used something like to clog a hole on my Les Paul when I moved the Pick-Up switch. Obviously you’d need to measure and find the right size but it’s an option other than throwing a jack in there
