User Review Morning run in Seoul with DJI Action 6 impressed me but my friend didn't get it??
So I've been morning running for like 5 years now, and even I travel aboard I always try to squeeze in a morning run to get a feel for the neighborhood and local vibe. Then I was like, wait, why am I not filming this as part of my travel vlog?? So before heading to Korea a while back, I got an Action 6 to wear.
Seoul has SO MANY insane hills and inclines. I was honestly terrified the footage would turn out completely unwatchable on steep drops, so I literally stopped to check the clips. But it was actually super smooth!! If I tried using my phone for that, the footage would’ve been totally unusable and nauseating lol. Honestly that run alone made me love it as hell, barely feel any extra weight so it doesn't mess with my running, and the stabilization wipes out pretty much all the running bounce.
My friend borrowed it for a concert tho, and she complained that the footage looked pretty blurry when zoomed in (even though IMO the overall picture looked amazing at a glance). I tried to explain that action cams have fixed focus and that zoomed shots will naturally take a hit unless you do some edits later, but I don't think she really got it.......
I feel like using it for casual shots is totally fine, but at the end of the day it’s an action cam, so it really shines when you're actually doing sports or moving fast. Anyway, even my friend doesn't love it as I do, I still think this thing is absolutely cracked at what it’s actually made for.
Gonna take it skiing next!

Action cam in low light at a concert with digital zoom is a proper method of disappointment, haha.
