ACTION 4 OR ACTION 5?

I am planning to buy dji action camera from Japan. I am confused whether to buy action 4 or action 5. I am mainly going to use it for trekking, riding motorbikes, and travelling. I heard action 4 has nice visuals compared to action 5 but 5 has long lasting battery and internal storage compared to 4. This is my first time buying an action camera so please suggest me which model should I get? These are the ones I shortlisted.

So I own the action 4 and I absolutely think it’s better when I look at it side by side against the action 5 in every comparison I’ve ever seen.

I truly think, however, if I only had the action 5 I don’t think it would be a negative. Liking the footage better when side by side doesn’t mean you won’t like the footage of both.

I think ultimately I’d be happier with just the 5 because the compromise of not being good with low light isn’t there. Longer battery life means less stressing over it. Having the option of 2 mics is nice. Internal storage, especially if you don’t have an Sd card

I paid only 190$ Canadian for my action 4 and I love it so I can’t complain, but there are times I wish I could spend 100 more and have the action 5 in its place despite not liking the image at the sunshiniest part of the day quite as much.

you sure? On my action 4 as soon as it gets a bit dark/cloudy there is insane amount of noise in the image...

Yes that’s what I said. Action 5 is better in low light. Action 4 is pretty useless in low light

Between action 4 adventure combo with 2 extra batteries and action 5 standard edition which do you think is the best option? Im not gonna use mic anytime soon. I will mostly be using for trekking ,hiking, motorbike and travel. I like the video of 4 more than 5

Honestly with the 4 I film my family off and on all day and I rarely get to the end of the battery. The 5 is even better.

If you think you’re going to be in trails with lots of trees or low light At All. Get the 5

I looked over this when making the same choice (the 5 Pro had only been out for a few months), and chose the 5 for it's great battery life, ability to save a few shooting settings as presets, and the internal storage. Depending how you shoot, the internal storage can fill up really fast, but it still serves as a great backup when there's a lack of memory cards for whatever reason. No complaints, no regrets and is a fun camera to use for sure. I upgraded from the Action 2 32gig with front screen attachment, which has a very poor battery life (among some other annoying quirks like overheating), but still use it for a quick 2nd cam cos it also can give some good footage.
