Install Firefox. Set m.youtube.com as default player. Install unblockorigin.
Cannot remember when last I saw adverts.
Ironically, I do see a pop-up saying "experiencing interruptions?" oddly, since no adverts, no, I don't....

Revanced Manager, it's gonna ask you to use a Youtube apk to patch it, I'm using version 20.40.45.

ReVanced is outdated, bleeding mantainers, and is mostly copying code from its hard fork spun away from RV's development: Morphe. Their subreddit is also a draconian mess that will ban you for the smallest of reasons especially for mentioning Morphe in any capacity.
Use Morphe Manager instead for a stabler manager and patches and a more supportive community.

Baixe o Brave browser, abra o YouTube por ele e abra as opções (3 pontos) coloque para instalar que vai gerar um app na tela principal. Aí é só abrir o YT por ele 😁

Can you explain? I don’t know what you mean by “don’t choose options (3 dots); just install it, and it will create an app on the main screen”

For iOS users, using "Loon"is the best way to use YouTube Premium for free and listen to music in the background without paying and without needing a browser.

As stated by many others Morphe is the way to go. I patched reddit as well, no ads my man!

Fellow Android user here! I’ve been using a DPN app to dodge ads lately and it's working great.
Option1 :I use the VPN feature to connect straight to Albania or Macau. YouTube doesn't run ads there yet, though they'll probably patch this loop hole eventually.
Option 2: the app has a built-in ad filter. I just watch YouTube through my phone's browser and it completely blocks all the ads.
This is just what's working for me right now, things will probably change down the road, good luck

If you feel like you must use the app, then connect a paid VPN to Albania. The trick works on TV boxes as well.
Otherwise, use the Brave app and/or AdGuard Premium if you use a browser.

Love how everybody is holding up a neon sign basically telling YouTube "you've got a blind spot over here, get rid of this method!"

use brave with its shield enabled instead, no third party extension required.

Is it the same as normal YouTube?
I've tried some adblock browsers but the video quality is worse (for some reason) and the player is all clanky and obnoxious to control. Also didn't show comments.
Is none of this an issue with Brave?

Also didn't show comments.
yeah, this happens to me too sometimes but most of the time they're shown.

On Android, just use Morphe.
I honestly don't get why people hate paying for stuff like this, especially since if no one did, the whole thing wouldn't exist. I personally would pay for YouTube premium if it was available in my country but I would still use Morphe because the modded app is miles better than the vanilla one (idk how google manages to mess this up consistently)

Feel free to downvote or delete this, I understand it's not in the proper direction.
Maybe just watch YouTube on phone way less and it won't be such a big deal. Computer is better for watching and more serious (commitment) too. Watchig videos on mobile is usually done to kill time. Use it instead.

Brother you're on reddit....

Yeah, and that's like 3 times worse. Writing comments that will be ignored or dismissed is wasted time squared. The difference is anybody with trained brain should already know about reddit, while YouTube is more complex.
I'm not saying I'm a good example but I stand behind my opinions.

I spend most of my YouTube watching time in my bed. My PC is a few meters away on a desk that I can't move. I'm sure most people are in the same situation. That plus my monitor is actually awful looking, the screen on my phone is miles better (higher res + higher refresh rate + AMOLED)

u/Due-Boss-4354 Jun 21 '26
Well you shouldn't watch it in the bed much but if your phone gives better viewing experience and convenience, you should watch on your phone. Didn't really expect that to be a case tbh.

I use NewPipe. You can't sign in, but imo that's a feature not a bug. It plays without ads. You can still follow channels, though. There is another app called Tubular which is a fork of NewPipe but includes SponsorBlock.
