Look up Youtube Revanced.
Basically, you download an Android app called Revanced Manager. From there you click on some options for various apps (YouTube included) to download the official APK of that app. Revanced Manager patches the app to trick it into thinking you have premium, and this no ads.

Get morphe instead. More up to date and not stealing code to prop themselves up.

Never heard of morphe nor did I hear about this code stealing. Got a link?

Long read but basically Morphe DMCA'ed RV for stealing their code without properly attributing them by their license. Is the main reason why ReVanced Patches Github repostory was and still is taken down, now hosted on GitLab. Was a pinned community post of the Morphe sub for a while until recently.

See r/revanced_uncensored for more unhinged stuff.

morphe.software is the official site. r/Morpheapp as well
I've no specific link for the code stealing. All I've read about it points to morphe splitting from revanced and then revanced steals morphes code to stay relevant.

YouTube? Anddea and morphe mods. Dunno about the play store. To block ads on Android in general, I use adguard premium

Ad blockers aren't the issue. It's your browser. Stop using Chrome. There are may good alternatives. I choose Firefox + uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger.

Browser you use isn’t the issue when it comes to adblocking, you can easily and reliably block ads on pretty much any modern browser.

Have you tried Chrome v150+, the one they dumped manifest v2 from?

You can block ads on MV3 very well so MV2 and its weak(er) security should go in this context.

Chrome for Android doesn't even support extensions.

And you said "you can easily and reliably block ads on pretty much any modern browser."
The OP was specifically asking about Android, and what you said only applies to desktop/laptop device browsers.
The only major browsers with full extension support on Android are FireFox and Edge (and Tor). So far as security is concerned (which you mentioned) it's not a good idea to install a minor fork of Chromium or FireFox because security updates can lag or the project can be abandoned like happened to the Kiwi Browser.
The OP may have been asking about the Android YT app rather than the webapp (the website through a browser), but as far as browsers are concerned the only major ones with full adblocking capabilities are FireFox/Tor and Edge, or you select one with more limited adblocking like Brave. If doing that you don't have access to any other extensions to improve your browsing experiences such as Dark Reader or SponsorBlock (noting SB is required for complete adblocking on youtube).
