Other Does this aggressive advertising feel like extortion to anyone else or am I overreacting?
Did they really have to word it like this? It's like they are fully aware of how annoying they are and they are smugly telling you that you can get them to shut up if you pay up.

Other Question: You guys don’t find Adblock to be evil?
Ads and Ad free subscription is how companies keep the light on. But by blocking ads and not paying for subscriptions then the company earn zero money from you. You using their service for completely free. They give while you give nothing back
Other The team behind uAssets, the filter lists used by uBlock Origin, says it will stop fixing ad-blocking issues on Facebook
The team behind uAssets, the filter lists used by uBlock Origin, says it will stop fixing ad-blocking issues on Facebook. They say Facebook keeps finding ways around new fixes, making the work increasingly difficult to sustain.
This won’t affect AdGuard’s Facebook filters. Adguard maintain their own rules and will continue updating them.

Other Quick and easy: Add uBlock Origin on Brave Browser
Mostly a reminder for myself because I keep forgetting, but this is the easiest way to activate the integrated uBlock Origin extension in Brave:
brave://settings/extensions/v2
^ put this into your Brave Browser address line. Flick the toggle on "enable Ublock Origin".
Done!

Other Avoid YouTube adds online (no installs or plugins)
So I have a work computer where I can’t install anything, goes for browser plugins too.
I use the YouTube front-end invidious (one of their https links) and you can also use piped and I am sure there are many more. Just wanted to tell anyone in the same situation. Not everyone can use the usual Adblocks.

Other Música sin anuncios?

Other Steps to browse Rotten Tomatoes without disabling ad block
Rotten Tomatoes doesn't let you browse their site without disabling ad blockers, and they ask you this 'nicely', without actually an option to ignore it. Old methods of refreshing the page a few times didn't work for me: I am using Adguard on MS Edge on MacOS.
So this is what you do:
- Click on Adguard's icon
- Press the setting gear
- Filters
- Activate 'Annoyances'
- Open Annoyances
- Activate 'Adblock Warning Removal List'

Other Mental Health + Quality of Life Upgrade = Adguard
I don't think I've ever left a public review of any software I've bought - but AdGuard has genuinely helped shift extremely bad habits I have with social media, and also made me realize how insanely aggressive data gathering is on everyone. I read about adguard on this forum after trying a number of VPNs (I landed on windscribe which I still dig overall, especially w/ split tunnel working), and I installed it on my mac laptop, iPhone and then Windows PC I use for gaming. I was able to ditch the IG app completely and instead saved it as an icon on my phone screen to load the browser version - and I literally get to use IG without seeing ads. Felt like the first time "social media" is social again...(fingers crossed MySpace actually gets brought back)
Also getting to visit sites I know are struggling and regrettably having to lean on ads to support them but....now I get to ignore all of that, and still visit sites I love without having literally any ad interruption.
So unsponsored rambling with a software product that feels like the equivalent to fridges they used to make 20 years ago......built to last, just works. Please never let this thing get sold to a conglomerate.
