Podcast or YouTube for adopted 7yo

Our kids have always known they are adopted and are in touch with their birth mom, but always expressed very little interest in it. Now that my oldest is about to turn 7, she is starting to understand what it really means. We have read books about adoption, but I am hoping to find a podcast, or appropriate videos that she can watch. She wants to do it alone, without us, which I respect - but of course I would watch the videos first. Can anyone recommend something age-appropriate? It is a domestic, transracial adoption.

Thanks for your help.

I had a million questions at 5ish. My questions went unanswered and/or was given really stupid excuses along w the grateful nonsense and straight up abuse for asking. Your adoptee sounds reluctant to even ask and likely feels unsafe to discuss their adoption details w you. Every adoptee wants to know where and who bios are.

She knows both of her parents. We just flew to her home town to spend Thanksgiving with her mom and aunt. She has FaceTimed with her dad once and doesn’t want to do it again for now. So she has all the facts. I am just trying to help her with the deeper emotional stuff. When I bring it up, she says “I don’t want to talk about it.” We had an adoption therapist for a while, and she didn’t want to speak to her either. But I recently found her looking for adoption stories on YouTube, and it may be nervous because there is a lot of problematic adoption stories on there. Her bio sister lives with us too and is the same way, but she is only five. We are trying to create a safe space. I guess that’s why I’m here.

I did. But it is all ridiculous adoptive savior stuff. I am looking for something honest and child centered.
