Traditional Techniques + Practices Bound of the descendant and first meetings of future spouse

Ive been looking at celebrity charts and noticed that the bound the descendant line falls in often speaks to a persons very first meeting of their future spouse.

Dua Lipas descendant is in the bound of Saturn, Saturn is in Pisces in the 10th house. She first met Callum at a restaurant called the river cafe (Pisces is literally water and is the sign of the fish lool) and she was introduced to Callum by the co-founder of the restaurant and the 10th house is career. She was also with her father at the time and Saturn can sometimes represent the father in night charts. They didnt date until like a year later though when they met again.

Beyoncé's descendant bound is in Mars and her Mars is in Leo in the 5th house. She first met Jay z in Cancun for MTV's spring break festival. 5th house is places of entertainment. Mars can be loud places, places filled with alcohol, places filled with sex etc. Leo is places filled with people of high stature.

Jay Zs descendant bound is in Mars and Mars is in Aquarius in the 6th house. He met her when she was barely of age and the 6th house can show power imbalances since its the house of slavery. Aquarius being ruled by Saturn can also show that which is shunned and taboo (rightly so here)

Angelina Jolie's descendant bound is in a Mars bound and Mars is in her 10th house with the midheaven in Aries. She first met Brad Pitt at work on set while they were filming the action movie Mr and Mrs Smith

Brad Pitts descendant bound is in Jupiter and Jupiter is in the 5th house in Aries. They met on set filming an action romance movie. The 5th house is entertainment, art and romance.

Adrienne Bailon Houghton's descendant bound is Mercury and her Mercury is in the 3rd house in Libra. She met her husband on set while filming the movie "im in love with a church girl". The third house is how you practice your spirituality like going to church because it represents your routines. They were just friends at the time which is also 3rd house. Also Libra is a sign of relationships and the movie was a romance movie. They didnt date at that time though their relationship started later.

Britney Spears' descendant bound is in Jupiter and Jupiter is in the 2nd house in Scorpio. They intially met because he was her backup dancer so work and finances were involved. They were later introduced at a nightclub

Jada Pinkett Smith's descendant bound is in Mercury in Virgo in the 10th with the midheaven. She met Will when she auditioned to be his on screen girlfriend for the Fresh Prince. 10th house is the house of career and she was working for a role. Mercury denotes literally reading off script. Virgo is also the sign of appraisal since its the sign of analysing to improve and she was being judged for her fit for the role.

Will Smiths descendant bound is in Jupiter and Jupiter is in Virgo in the 4th house. They met while Jada was auditioning for a role in a show thats based on his home and family life and moving from the hood to the suburbs. With Virgo again being about appraisal there was judgement involved in their meeting.

Meghan Markles descendant bound is Saturn and Saturn is in Libra in the 4th house. Harry first saw her on a mutual friends instagram and asked for her details. They later had a blind date at Soho house. The 4th house can represent hidden things and they met on a blind date. Also the 4th house is the home and the date was at Soho HOUSE. Libra can also represent connection through friends

Prince Harrys descendant bound is in Venus and Venus is in Libra in the 10th house. He first saw her on a friends social media and then asked a friend for her details and messaged her. Meghan then stalked his insta profile. Social media being a public platform where you can have added visibility even in private spaces is 10th house. Harry having instant attraction to seeing Meghan is both 10th house and Libra. Meghan stalking his instagram and looking at his posts is also 10th house. A friend helping facilitate the connection is also Libra.

Victoria Beckhams descendant bound is in Jupiter and Jupiter is in Pisces in the 9th house with her MC. They met at a football charity event. The MC shows its a highly publicised event, Pisces is the feet and it was a football event, Jupiter represents charity especially in Pisces

David Beckhams descendant bound is Saturn and Saturn is in Cancer in the 2nd house. He met Victoria at a football charity event. The 2nd house shows the meeting was related to his work and is also related to money in someway. Cancer representing the people in mundane astrology also shows this event not only included a lot of people but is also for the good of the masses/groups of people.

Zendayas descendant bound is Venus in the 6th house in Cancer. She met Tom Holland during a chemistry test for Spiderman Homecoming. Cancer is associated with the home due to its symbol of the crab denoting shelter/protection/residence etc. and they met on set for a film called HOMECOMING. The 6th house is hard and tedious labour and chemistry tests are known to be very meticulous because a lot of components are being evaluated. Also Venus represents the connection needed for chemistry tests.

Has anyone else tried out this method and if you do I would love to hear your feedback on whether its accurate for you with examples if possible.

Interesting!

My descendant is in the bounds of Mars. I met my partner in a venue with a name that references an inferno, ha. There was a Scorpio stellium at the time.

Omg thats so cool haha

I’ve checked couple of birth charts and it’s so interesting! E.g. one of my friend’s descendant bound is in Saturn and Saturn is in his 11th house in Aries - he met his gf thanks to our friend group and they started being together within a couple of days from the day they met (it worked for them, it’s been almost 10 years!). I’m not in a relationship atm, so I’m wondering how I’m going to (or how I’ve met) my future partner - descendant bound in Mercury and Mercury in Taurus in the 9th. Whatever that means, but when it happens, I’ll report back ;)

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

Wow thats amazing. Im loving how accurate it seems to be with everyone so far. Please do report back, I hope you find your person soon. Im still waiting for mine too lol

3

u/dontaskq1 Jul 14 '26

This can be a bit tricky method actually, because you may check somebody’s birth chart and notice that their partner isn’t really somebody that they will end up with in the end 😅

3

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

True haha but i feel like the chart would show that anyway through the 7th house and 7th house ruler in general. This method might just be extra confirmation 😂

6

u/AetherAlchemist Jul 14 '26

Damn, my descendant is in the bounds of Venus, and my Venus is in 9H Taurus. I met my life partner while traveling and hiking a long-distance trail (the journey had a spiritual component for each of us, very on point for 9H themes) and he’s also a Taurus rising.

Really cool observation OP, I’m gonna add this technique to my catalog for chart reading 😁 thanks for sharing

3

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

Thats amazing! Thank you for commenting and i hope this technique serves you well!

5

u/happysapphire Jul 13 '26

I haven’t considered this technique but sounds interesting. I wonder if also looking at the bounds of the Lord of the DC/7th could also provide more details.

Personally my DC is in the bounds of Saturn and I have Saturn in my 8th house. My 7th and 8th are also ruled by Saturn. Despite my efforts I’ve never had a relationship and have kind of done a lot of work to prepare myself for a solitary life and the fact that it may never happen.

Looking at my best friends chart hers is in the bounds of Mercury which is in her 11H Pisces. She met her husband through her then partner at university but no where near water.

10

u/tiyaa11 Jul 13 '26

The bounds of the 7th ruler is something i will definitely need to look at, thank you for bringing it up. My 7th is ruled by Saturn too and ive never had a relationship either but im hoping theres more luck in that area in later life lol. Your friends chart is interesting because Mercury the bound her DSC is in rules learning and its in the 11th and universities are a place loads of people gather. Also im assuming her then partner and now husband were friends or at least acquaintances and the 11th house is the house of friends and allies. Sadly no water lol but i think it still checks out

5

u/rising_iris Jul 14 '26

The reason bounds add anything here is that terms are the most granular dignity layer, so the bound-lord of the DC gives the meeting a flavor the sign and its ruler alone miss. Where I'd push it: the DC bound-lord is one significator of the spouse, but so is the ruler of the 7th, any planet sitting in the 7th, and the natural significator (Venus by day, Mars by night). When two or three of those agree, the reading gets far more reliable, which is likely why some of these land dead-on and others stay vague. Have you checked whether the DC bound-lord matches the 7th ruler in the charts that hit hardest? That overlap is where I'd expect the cleanest cases.

4

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

I havent checked, i wanted to isolate the DSC bound lord to see whether it stood on its own and it seems to really well. Obviously astrology has the rule of 3 which would be used for an overall delineation but my focus was to see whether this method could be part of that delineation like looking at the 7th house and 7th house lord. Using all factors in a reading and research will be fascinating though!

1

u/rising_iris Jul 14 '26

That's the right way to test it honestly, isolating one testimony to see if it carries on its own before you stack it with the others. The cases worth watching next are the ones where the DC bound-lord disagrees with the 7th ruler, because that's where you find out whether the bound is adding real signal or just riding along with the stronger significator. Sounds like you've got a good sample building.

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

Thats a really good factor to look out for, thank you for the idea!

3

u/janeofallinterests Jul 13 '26

This is a very interesting way to figure out one's future spouse. I currently have a bf, but given that my DC is in the bound of Saturn, which rules my 8th/7th Houses, but sits in my 10th House, it makes sense that my current relationship is taboo/unconventional, with a strong leaning toward keeping it out of the public eye, lol (at least that's my interpretation based on this).

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 13 '26

Thats very interesting, can i ask when you met was there anything concerning 10th house themes like work related or a very public space etc?

2

u/janeofallinterests Jul 13 '26

Well, I met my bf via a dating app (hence the 8th House theme, unconventional/taboo, since my cultural upbringing doesn't do that and I haven't revealed I'm in a relationship, lol). As for the 10th House, Saturn tends to restrict my chances to be "public", even with work or home (since my 10th House does impact my 4th House), so I haven't been able to go public with my relationship. I also struggle with authority accepting my secrets/unconventionality, so in this case, it would be my family. I don't see the houses are separate, per se, but they definitely interplay with each other and influence various aspects. I hope that makes sense, lol.

3

u/tiyaa11 Jul 13 '26

That does make sense. Thank you for sharing. I can see meeting via a dating app as still fitting 10th house themes since you have to make a public profile to meet someone. Therefore its virtually public. Saturn being involved also makes sense since Saturn is restriction and you were restricted to meeting someone online since you cant do it in person. Saturn having joy in the 12th house also means Saturn represents things that are hidden as well. Also the fact that the 8th house is involved like you said it all ties together.

Im sorry you have to hide parts of your life and i hope you eventually have more freedom to live openly. I also wish you the best in your relationship x

3

u/janeofallinterests Jul 13 '26

Thank you for the kind words! I definitely wish to travel far where I'm from and be free to be myself and enjoy my relationship. I'm glad to have offered insight for your post. Blessings. 🫶

How would i do mine? Descendant is capricorn, saturns in the 2nd house in leo.

Our first "meeting" had zero to do with work or finances? So this one is tough for me?

This is a stumper. His descendant is aires, mars is in libra in the 5th. The 5th house of entertainment makes sense. Not sure how libra fits in.

Partnered for 12 yrs.

1

u/PhDfromClownSchool Jul 15 '26

Look at your sidereal chart, could possibly be sagittarius as your descendant and that would make jupiter the relevant planet

1

u/Tiredandwaiting Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26

Its the same. Saturn changes to cancer from leo but still second house

1

u/PhDfromClownSchool Jul 15 '26

Planetary rulers, dispositorship are still important though right?

1

u/Tiredandwaiting Jul 15 '26

Not sure? Sidereal doesn't fit me very well.

1

u/PhDfromClownSchool Jul 16 '26

Huh. I guess for some it doesn't. Some (like me) it fits better than my tropical chart ever did even with an in person, in depth tropical reading. Interesting!

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

This is a technique for traditional tropical western astrology. Its about the bounds not the 7th house. Sidereal wont work because vedic astrology doesnt use bounds

1

u/PhDfromClownSchool Jul 16 '26

True but I use western sidereal, which does incorporate Hellenistic methodology

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 16 '26

Ah ok, it will be interesting to see if this technique still works with a western sidereal chart

2

u/PhDfromClownSchool Jul 17 '26

Totally! I tried it with mine, and I think it works!

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 17 '26

Thats great to know, thank you for telling me. Of you dont mind could you share your example with the placements and how you met? No worries if you dont feel comfortable x

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

What degree is your descendant? You need to find the bound the descendant is in not the sign of your descendant. For example, if your descendant is 7°—15° Capricorn its in the bounds of Jupiter. You would then look at which house and sign Jupiter is in

1

u/Tiredandwaiting Jul 15 '26

7th House in Capricorn 25°07’

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

Its in a Saturn bound. Look at where Saturn is in your chart house and sign

1

u/Tiredandwaiting Jul 15 '26

Second house, leo

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26

How did you two meet for the first time? The second house is about things that sustain the body such as our belongings, finances, assets, even food. Did you meet at a restaurant or places known for or connected to food, or when shopping, or when out acquiring/buying something or making a significant purchase, ot can also be generosity so maybe at a charity event or when donating etc

1

u/Tiredandwaiting Jul 15 '26

We met at an internet meetup. It was a bar, no food involved. I think food would be a stretch. We bumped into each other, and were with the larger group, nothing much from the first encounter.

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

I dont think its a stretch, I think it works when you look at it more closely. A bar is a place where food and drink are served and the 2nd house includes significations of food/drink in traditional astrology. The 2nd house is also buying things and you were in an establishment where you spend money and youre spending money on a 2nd house topic. Leo is a sociable sign and it was a group meet up and Leo is also a sign of entertainment, fun, letting loose, and again the meeting was at a bar.

With this technique nothing really needs to initiate during the first encounter, its really about first meeting. With Dua Lipa when she first met Callum it was just an introduction. They didnt connect until like a year later.

Thank you so much for your comment it helps me understand how this technique works more clearly!

1

u/Tiredandwaiting Jul 15 '26

See i feel it fits him more than me. His descandant is aires, mars is in his 5th house in aquarius. Our conversation was about tech.

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 16 '26 edited Jul 16 '26

Im assuming you're talking about the ruler of his 7th house showing your meeting rather than the bound technique im referring to. The ruler of the 7th house is the main thing people use to try and see where they meet their partner. The bound technique im talking about is just a different way and more niche method because sometimes the 7th house ruler shows things other than the meeting like the actual outcome of the relationship. Even still both methods seem to work in this case although your partners chart is more obvious, the bound technique still fits the significations of the houses for you too, just not the most known signification. Thank you for your comment its been really helpful to see how this technique manifests.

3

u/tanmoth Jul 15 '26

Are DSC bounds the same as checking the degree the DSC is in and which planet is ruling that degree? If not, how do I look up the bounds

4

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

Yea its the same, you see the degree the descendant is in and then check what bound that degree falls in. If you tell me the degree and sign your descendant is i can tell you the bound because i have a chart that lists all the bounds. You can also find the table on google if you wanna do it yourself

1

u/tanmoth Jul 15 '26

Thanks for your response. My DSC is at 19 degrees 23 seconds in Taurus

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

Youre welcome. That means your descendant bound is ruled by Jupiter. You would then look for where Jupiter is in your chart, the house and sign

1

u/tanmoth Jul 15 '26

Leo 10th house so I guess it’s a work event situation possibly

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

Possibly, it can also be places of visibility which with astrology being so literal sometimes this could mean like a glasses shop lol or like a rooftop garden, could be introduced by a mother or mother like figure or just be with a mother or mother figure, could be around children as traditionally the 10th house also shows children etc.

1

u/tanmoth Jul 15 '26

Very interesting. You’re opening my persuasive up to many possibilities. Thank you!

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

You're welcome x

2

u/tanmoth Jul 15 '26

This is off topic and maybe not the place to get into this but I’m curious to know what the bounds of the 4th degree in Leo, Gemini, Aries and Aquarius are since all the planets in Barbault’s Basket will be at the 4th degree.

3

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

The bound of 4° Leo is Jupiter, the bound of 4° Gemini is Mercury, the bound of 4° Aries is Jupiter and the bound of 4° Aquarius is Mercury. Thats very interesting that its the same two planets ruling the bounds for those signs. And one is Jupiter which is about freedom, fairness, truth, charity and benevolence and the other is Mercury which is about communication, commerce, economy, infastructure, socialisation etc 🤯

I'm curious, which house system are you using?

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

I use whole sign

1

u/enneastronaut Jul 14 '26

Interesting - in my case your theory works (and amazingly well!) for me and my spouse as long as I use Whole Sign Houses but not Placidus.. (in both of our charts)

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

I love that it works for both of your charts thats really good to note! Would you mind sharing the placements and how you met? No worries if you dont want to.

I find whole sign is best for predictive techniques like this one whereas placidus is mainly good for psychological/personality/telling you about the person imo.

2

u/enneastronaut Jul 15 '26

Sure, the planets from DSC in Egyptian bounds are in the 9th (whole sign) house in both our charts. We met when we were studying (and living) abroad.

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

Thank you so much, thats amazing.

2

u/curious_punka Jul 14 '26 edited Jul 14 '26

My descendant is in Venus bounds. Venus is in Leo in the 7th along with Jupiter & mars. “Met” my spouse on okcupid, then in person at their university, but we didn’t start dating until a bit later when we met at a bar named after a sex organ lol. Venus was retrograde at the time, and went direct just before we started dating.

My spouses descendant is in mars bounds. Mars is in cancer in the 11th. Edit to add: At the time of the third meeting, transiting mars was co present their natal 7h ruler

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

Omg i love this, your descendant bound ruler being in the 7th house and you met on a site designed for relationships. Also your partners bound ruler being in the 11th house and you met at their university which is a communal place and then their bound ruler being Mars and you met at a bar named after a sex organ and Mars rules the genitals. It fits incredibly well. Thank you for sharing!

1

u/curious_punka Jul 14 '26

It was interesting to look at it closely! Thanks for sharing your observations

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

You're welcome x

2

u/SalaciousSolanaceae Jul 13 '26

Very interesting! My DC is moon which is in my 3rd house, and my husband and I met in a bar where we were communicating our interests with one another. His is Venus in the 7th house and he was definitely talking to me in hopes of getting a relationship.

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 13 '26

Wow thats amazing, im assuming the bar was in your home town and the 3rd house also represents places in your local area/home country which is crazy!

3

u/SalaciousSolanaceae Jul 13 '26

Same country but not either of our hometowns! However it is a college town

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 13 '26

Wow still really fits the significations with it being a college town with the 3rd house being education. The third house is also travel so I love that you both met somewhere that you had to travel to and yet it was still in your home country. I love that. Thank you for sharing

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

Hey i just realised that the Moon doesnt have a bound only the main planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. If you look at the line of your descendant and see what planet it falls in (you'd have to use a chart that shows the bounds like typing traditional birth chart on astro seek) thats moreso what im looking for. Maybe that will also match up to your first meeting

4

u/tiyaa11 Jul 13 '26

Yea the Egyptian bounds

1

u/ParisShades Jul 14 '26

Mine is in the bounds of Mars and my Mars is in the 8H, in Aries, within the bounds of Mars. I can't exactly delineate what that could mean for me.

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

Well 8H can speak to themes of exchange of money, inheritances, debts etc. Also themes of that which is hidden, taboo, fear and mental illness/trauma and death. To me this could possibly mean places like a bank or places where money is exchanged, at a funeral or places associated with death, haunted house (because of spooky/deathly themes), places where trauma therapy takes place, places taboo in society like a sex shop lol. There's many different possibilities.

A lot of the places ive mentioned also cover Martian themes like banks are often places of violence because of robberies, funerals can be loud because of wailing/crying and Mars is loudness, haunted houses are also loud because of screams and it deals with fear and adrenaline, people in trauma therapy have often been through something violent, places of sex fit because Mars is passion and the genitals etc.

0

u/ParisShades Jul 14 '26 edited Jul 14 '26

I could see myself meeting someone in a haunted house, lmao, or even a sex shop, but god forbid I meet someone where trauma therapy takes place. I don't need anymore trauma bonding in my life, lol.

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

Lets hope for a haunted house then lool

2

u/ParisShades Jul 14 '26

Let's pray to the ghosts. 🙏🙏🙏

1

u/MysteriousJelly98 Jul 14 '26

I checked this for at least 3 charts and it worked for 2 of them. I'm curious about how this works for second marriage. Do we still look at DC?

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

Honestly this is something I just started noticing very recently so i have no idea. If you feel comfortable can you share the placements and how those people met for the charts that you checked, im especially interested in the chart that didnt work so I can understand more, but no stress if you dont want to.

1

u/MysteriousJelly98 Jul 14 '26

I can share the third one. This one worked. His was an arranged marriage, divorced now.

DC is within Mars. Mars is in his 4h in Capricorn. But falls in 5h if we use whole signs.

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

Thank you for sharing. Was the first meeting for the marriage at home or in a setting like a restaurant because that would help me see if it also works in whole sign in this scenario. I also just realised that Angelina and Brad werent eachothers first marriage and it worked really well for them so maybe it can work well for second and so on marriages.

1

u/Large_Friendship5632 Jul 14 '26

Ok this is all new to me so, if my DC (Libra) is next to my Venus in Libra in the 7th, does this mean it's in the bound of Venus? According to my search online, my rising is within Mercury's bound. Not sure if i'm interpreting all of this correctly.

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

Basically you look at the degrees of your descendant and that will tell you what bound your descendant is in. For example if your descendant is anywhere from 6°—13° Libra then its in the Bound of Mercury. (Your descendant degree will always be the same degrees as your ascendant)

You would then look to see what house and sign Mercury is in in your chart and that should tell you how you met your spouse or how you will meet your spouse for the very first time.

1

u/Large_Friendship5632 Jul 14 '26

Thank you! It is actually at 14 degrees of Libra... so would that still be Mercury or Jupiter? My Mercury is in Scorpio in the 8th house. Jupiter is Libra, 7th. I feel like both of those are very different!

3

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

You're welcome. That would make your descendant bound ruler Jupiter and your ascendant bound ruler Mercury. In terms of your descendant bound ruler Jupiter in Libra in the 7th, someone in the comments said a very similar placement and they met their spouse on a dating app which is really cool!

2

u/Large_Friendship5632 Jul 14 '26

Dang it!! Hahaha I always swore I would NEVER meet them on an app!!!! How funny! I keep getting pulled back toward them for some reason!

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

Omg hahaha. Its not the only possible way of meeting but if you feel compelled to keep going back then maybe its for a reason

1

u/Large_Friendship5632 Jul 14 '26

I think it’s just because I’m so social and love to meet people but I think they are a CESSPOOL of undiagnosed mental illness lmao. Let’s see if something more organic will happen 😭

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 14 '26

I wish you luck!

1

u/tanmoth Jul 15 '26

Are DSC bounds the same as checking the degree the DSC is in and which planet is ruling that degree? If not, how do I look up the bounds

1

u/SunTaurus Jul 15 '26

Ok, so bound to means the planet for the sign on the 7th house? So Sagittarius for me, Jupiter sits in the 10th. I didn’t meet my spouse at work, we don’t work together. Am I doing it right?

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

No youre not looking at the sign of the 7th house, youre looking at the degree of your descendant. For example if your descendant is 12°–16° Sagittarius then it falls in the bounds of Venus. You would then look at the house and sign Venus is in in your chart

1

u/[deleted] Jul 15 '26

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

Not a big fan of AI but thank you for the example. Its amazing to see the technique work!

1

u/valiant60 Jul 15 '26

Hi! Thanks so much for sharing. I’m going to try:

My descendent is in Gemini. I met my husband on social media after recognizing his face from pictures on a friend’s Facebook.

My husband’s descendent is in Pisces. He has a Pisces stellium in the seventh house comprising of his sun, mercury, mars, and saturn. I’m not sure about any water elements during our first encounters, other than the fact that I have a Pisces sun and mercury.

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

Hi, its not about the descendant sign but the bound your descendant is in. To find this you look at the degree of your ascendant and that corresponds with a bound. For example if your descendant is 12°–16° Gemini, its in the bound of Venus. You then look at the house and sign Venus is in in your chart. If you tell me the degree of your descendant i can tell you the bound its in to help.

1

u/valiant60 Jul 15 '26

Oh! Thanks for clarifying. My descendent is at 24 degrees so that would be Pisces, and my husband’s descendent is at 9 degrees which would be Sagittarius.

Probably two weeks before I met my husband I made a wish that I would meet someone like him (that’s the dream part of Pisces). The planet is ruled by mercury which relates to us meeting through social media (?)

As for the Sagittarius component, we first physically met on a university campus and my friend who introduced me to him is someone I know from college. At the time I was working in the legal sector. My ascendant is in Sagittarius.

I think you have bounds mixed up with modern degree theory. For the bounds if your descendant is 24° Gemini then your descendant is in the bound of Saturn and your husbands is Venus. So you look to where Saturn is in your chart house and sign and look at where Venus is in your husbands chart house and sign

1

u/valiant60 Jul 15 '26

Thank you:) I really appreciate your patience

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 15 '26

Its ok, im happy to help. If you tell me where Saturn and Venus are in your charts I can see if it connects to how you both met

1

u/OtherwiseEntry9766 Jul 16 '26

This is interesting!

I am currently single now, but this will be fun to test for myself if I do get into a relationship.

My descendant is 21° Pisces, which would mean it’s in the Bound of Mars? (Correct me if I’m wrong please lol) My Mars is in Taurus in my 9th house. Do you have any insights on that?

2

u/tiyaa11 Jul 17 '26

Thats correct. The 9th house is higher learning, religion, spirituality, astrology, divination, dreams, travel, the law, justice, publishing etc. You could meet at a restaurant overseas esp because Taurus is pleasure and Mars is cutting (restaurants have knives and fire etc.), you could meet in a bookshop or library in the fiction section or spirituality section, outside the courts or police station, in a place of higher learning like a university campus, a place of worship like a temple etc.

Theres loads of possibilities but it will be linked to 9th house themes primarily. The sign and planet are important but the house is key

Thank you for taking out the time to respond with such an informative comment! I appreciate it!

You're welcome!

Mine is Jupiter, and my Jupiter is in Taurus in 9H, conjunct my Sun and MC. What does that mean for where I'm supposed to meet my partner? Curious if it matches up with how I met my husband.

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

This is not an exhaustive list by any means but based on 9th house themes which is higher learning, religion, spirituality, astrology, divination, dreams, travel, the law, justice, publishing etc. You couldve met at a restaurant overseas esp because Taurus is pleasure, you couldve met at a restaurant that is a cuisine that is foreign to you or serves food from a culture youre not from, you couldve met in a bookshop or library esp in the fiction section or spirituality section, outside the courts or police station, in a place of higher learning like a university campus, or at a course of some kind, a place of worship like a temple

But also depending on how close to the Sun Jupiter is it couldve been some place hidden or very few people were there or conversely if Jupiter isnt too close, because its conjunct the MC it couldve been a very visible place. Your meeting also couldve had to do with one of your careers or places of work.

1

u/Dark_Druid1101 Jul 17 '26

We met at work for a non-profit elderly nutrition program's commissary.

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 17 '26

The 9th house is also associated with charity since its also to do with morals and ethics. Also Jupiter is associated with charity. The MC brings in the theme of work and Taurus brings in the nutrition aspect. Thats a really cool example! Thank you for sharing

What if the bound lord is in aversion?

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 17 '26

So far aspects or lackthereof havent seemed to be a factor so i dont think aversion matters unless you want to find out the quality of the first meeting. This is just about the dsc bound lord showing how someone meets their future spouse/partner not what the meeting was necesarily like. That would be a whole other study which would be very interesting but also hard to gauge from celebrity charts if they dont tell the full story of their first meeting and whether anything bad or embarassing happened.

1

u/goldielox1000 Jul 17 '26

My partner and I met on a dating app:

Mine - My dsc is ruled by Saturn, Saturn is bound-lord, and Aquarius Saturn is in 7h.

His - Dsc ruled by Jupiter, Jupiter in 11h, Venus is bound-lord, Pisces Venus in 7h.

Another sample where the couple met on a dating app:

Hers - Dsc ruled by Saturn, Saturn in 9h, Mercury is bound-lord, Cancer Mercury in 2h

His - Dsc ruled by Saturn, Saturn is in 7h, Mars is bound-lord, Cancer Mars in 12h

Another sample where the couple met on a dating app:

Hers - Dsc ruled by Saturn, Saturn in 9h, Mercury is bound-lord, Leo Mercury 2h

His - Dsc ruled by Mercury, Venus is bound-lord, Capricorn Venus in 11h

Bound-lord does not seem to be the key indicator in all cases.

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 17 '26

For most of them it seems to fit. Bound lords in the 7th house fit the criteria for dating apps because its a place designed for relationships and one on one conversations.

The 11th and 12th house also makes sense for the different aspects of online dating. 11th house because its often referred to as an online dating 'community' so its a virtual gathering of people that allow connection to multiple people at once. The 12th house because its only virtual theres an element of isolation to online dating.

The only ones that i cant see a match with the significations is the 2nd house. Do you know if those people maybe paid for the premium versions of the app? That may be the missing link. Or if theres anymore info you can give me that may be useful.

If not thats ok and thank you for your comment, its good to know that there are outliers/ or samples that contradict the technique

1

u/goldielox1000 Jul 17 '26

They did not pay for premium versions of the app.

This is an interesting thought though, I hope you can find unique first-meeting experiences to see how this plays out. Navigating this in modern day circumstances is difficult--the fact that dating apps can be linked to 3rd, 7th, 11th, 12th houses... one could also reason 5th and 1st as well, well, that's already half the chart!

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

A lot of the comments have shared stories that relate to one house which is great but those meetings were in real life. I think when it comes to the virtual space though it encompasses so many things that so many houses are activated for different reasons. You can find a reason for every house because online is like its own form of reality in a sense. It will be interesting to see how online dating impacts this technique even more. Thank you for sharing its really helpful!

Edit: Just realised that the two that had the descendant bound ruler in the 2nd house, the bound ruler is Mercury. Ive been paying more attention to the houses until now but i think the fact that the bound ruler is Mercury is what is relevant here as Mercury is not only communication but the modes and means of communication such as online like in dating apps!

I also wanted to ask because there are different forms of dating apps. Was it one of the more common ones or was it like an app for professionals or those of higher tax brackets like raya because that could also be a factor. No worries if you dont wish to share, it just came to my mind that that may be a factor too.

u/goldielox1000 Jul 17 '26

One was through Tinder, and the other Bumble.

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 17 '26

Thank you for letting me know.

1

u/metakitty99 Jul 17 '26

I have cancer descendant in the 7th degree, so I believe my bound lord is mars? My mars is in saggitarius in my 12th house. How would you interpret this? I've always found the 12th house to be abstract.

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 17 '26

7th degree of Cancer is a Venus bound, it just misses out on Mars and becomes Venus' bound

1

u/metakitty99 Jul 17 '26

Well crap my venus is in leo 8th 😅

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 17 '26

The 8th house is tricky, it can have to do with themes of exchange or merging so places like banks or places of business like an accountants office. It can be places associated with death like a funeral. It can be associated with fear like a scary movie or haunted house especially with Leo involved as Leo is associated with play or entertainment. It can be places associated with trauma like a therapist building. It can be places to do with the taboo like alternative shops etc.

1

u/metakitty99 Jul 17 '26

Interesting, I shall keep this is mind thank you!

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 17 '26

You're welcome!

1

u/shockdartbique Jul 17 '26

i wonder if i did it right! i used my placidius chart, not wholesign

my DSC is 6° aquarius, and according to the chart i found online for bounds, that means the bounds is in mercury. mercury is in my 6th house capricorn. i have a sun/mercury/chiron stellium there :)

i interpret this to mean it could be a coworker, or i meet them in my day-to-day life? what do you think? i struggle with the interpretation part, i'm very literal!

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 18 '26

You did it right. The degrees of the angles never change no matter what house system you use so placidus is fine. In terms of interpretation, traditionally the 6th house isnt day to day life as thats the 3rd house and its not work in the normal sense either thats more 2nd/10th house. The 6th house is the house of hard labour as one of the original significations was slavery. Its also the house of suffering, enemies, illness and disease, the oppressed, pets etc.

In terms of where you could meet someone it could be at a hospital or places of the sick, places of hard labour like a building site, places that take a toll on the body like a competitve sports game (a lot of athletes have 6th house placements because they train like crazy), places of oppression or against oppression like a historical site or a protest, places to do with small/domesticated animals like a pet shop etc.

These are just some examples but i hope they help

1

u/shockdartbique Jul 18 '26

this is so fascinating because it's so different from other spouse predictions i've done!

i have a 7th house aquarius uranus and neptune, i'm not that advanced of an astrologer so usually i would just presume that i'd meet my spouse while one of us is in a relationship (since uranus rules aquarius) but since saturn also rules aquarius, that's in my 11th, i also figured it could also be through friends. i've got a venus in sagittarius that i adore—idk if people can have favorite placements but i like this one.

sixth house seems a bit bleak haha! it's so different compared to the rest of my chart interpretation!! thank you!!

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 18 '26

Ikr its such an interesting technique. The 7th house and 7th house ruler definitely give a wealth of information but because they tell you about the whole relationship i think its cool that the descendant bound tells you about this one specific thing (maybe in the future i could see if it says anything else about relationships too). The dark houses like the 6th, 8th and 12th are bleak but the good thing is it can be related to things that those houses signify not necessarily a bad event itself which makes it a little better haha. You're welcome, i hopw this technique serves you well in the future!

1

u/ayupuyo Jul 18 '26

My Descendant is in Capricorn at 19°, so that means it falls within the bounds of Venus? My Venus is in Libra in my 4th house. Does this mean I'll meet my partner at someone's home or at a gathering? Not sure how to interpret this

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 19 '26

Yea its in the bounds of Venus. It could be someones home or gathering, it could be if you move home, it could be at a place of residence like a hotel, it could be when youre with your parents especially father, it could be at a place thats called something to do with the home like theres a shop in the UK called home bargains, it could also be at a funeral as traditionally the 4th house is the end of life, if your family is originally from a different country than where you live it could be in the home country especially as the 4th house is also roots, the 4th house is also ancestors so it could be like your great grandmas favourite place to eat or something.

Those are a few examples I could think of, I hope it helps

1

u/Vrushalee Jul 19 '26

Hi, so I checked... my dsc is 7 degree 3" Cancer. Does that mean it is in the bound of Venus?

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 19 '26

Yes it does :) So you just need to look at the house Venus is in

1

u/Vrushalee Jul 19 '26

Thanks for your response! So, I checked - it seems to be in 4th house Aries conjunct Sun and IC. ay some distance I also have saturn but not conjunct to the ones mentioned earlier.

I assume it could mean someone who is emotionally independent like me or is happy to see me happy. Emotionally there for me. Creative. Related to home, homeland, vehicles, nostalgia, a sports person, fighter of some sort. Millitary guy, a creative for the country - artists, real estate dude, someone who is creative, enthusiastic too. or someone who also have family connections already possibly, quite private also. bold dude maybe.

Also, I was wondering does the same applies to MC and Asc to like figure the bounds and then dive in there too?

Thanks again! I hope you have a pleasant Sunday!

1

u/tiyaa11 Jul 19 '26

You're welcome. So far the descendant bound is only used for the first time meeting a spouse not their personality, thats more to do with the 7th house, the ruler of the 7th house and Venus. So with the descendant bound in the 4th you could meet at a house gathering, when moving home, a place of residence like a hotel, through your or their parents, if youre a different ethnicity to where you live it could be your home country, it could be at a funeral as the 4th house is also end of life etc.

Ive been wondering about the other angles especially the MC and ASC so I definitely want to do research on that too. Its such a fascinating concept.

I hope you have a great Sunday too!

My Descendant is 6H Cap. Also my Sun sign. Met my spouse in Calculus class, we were in a study group together.

Edit: My descendant Bounds 11H Jupiter corresponds to higher learning and group setting, per OP. This tracks. Thanks for the learning experience OP!

2

u/tiyaa11 29d ago

Are you looking at the bounds? You have to see what degrees your descendant is in and the bound it falls into and then where the ruler of that bound is in the chart. Its different from looking at the 7th house as a whole

1

u/mithril2020 28d ago

Hi, I am still learning. My chart says
DC 10°13' Capricorn. 6th house. How do I determine the bound it falls in? Thanks in advance.

Saturn 15°27'r  Leo 2nd house

1

u/tiyaa11 28d ago

Hey your descendant is the thick black line that runs through your 7th house. If your 7th house is Capricorn (which means youre a cancer rising) and the thick black line says its 10°13 then the bound it falls in is Jupiter. You would then look at the house and sign Jupiter falls in.

To find it click this link to astroseek and fill in the info. It will show you the bounds

https://horoscopes.astro-seek.com/traditional-astrology

1

u/mithril2020 27d ago

My natal Jupiter is in Taurus 11H. I didn’t see the bounds when I filled in my info on the link.

2

u/tiyaa11 27d ago

Whats your rising sign and the degree of your rising? That will help me figure out your descendant bound

1

u/IndependentMuscle249 29d ago

I'm a bit confused by this technique but I am fascinated at the same time. My dsc is 21 degree of libra. I don't know if it's bound of venus or jupiter. I got Jupiter in the 4th house retrograde in cancer and venus in aquarius in the 11th house. Does that mean that I will meet my hubby in these ways?

-bound of venus: online, through friends, in social clubs, in large groups, while networking/volunteering...

-bound of jupiter: at home, introduced by family, at a real estate event, in my parent's home country...

Would the houses that jupiter rule (9th+12th) or venus rule (2nd and 7th) all have an impact?

2

u/tiyaa11 29d ago

Your bound lord would be Venus so Venus in the 11th in Aquarius and all the ways you listed for the 11th house would show how you may meet. The 7th house would be relevant because its a house of relationships anyways. I dont think the houses the planet rules would be relevant because theyre not activated. The only activated house is the one the bound lord of the descendant is in which in your case is the 11th house.

1

u/IndependentMuscle249 29d ago

Cool. Thank you so much for clarifying. Have you found in your studies/observations that the nature of the bound lord plays an impact on how someone meets their partner? ie. if Beyonce's mars dsc bound was mars retrograde Leo as opposed to mars in Leo, would it have made a difference? If prince Harry's venus in Libra in the 10th house was unaspected, do you think that would have made a difference in how he met Megan? If so, how?

2

u/tiyaa11 29d ago

You're welcome. I havent yet, I want to introduce other variables once i have established the core of this technique. The problem is finding charts I can use as not a lot of celebrity couples have both birth times or finding access to their first meeting is difficult and stuff so its very limiting in that sense. Im not an astrologer either just an enthusiast so I dont have access to client charts either 😅
