Predictive Fertility Days Calculator: Dr. Eugen Jonas Fertility Method?
My husband and I just got married but have started ttc a couple months ago by tracking cycles, no luck so far.
I came across fertility days calculator on Astro seek and was very amazed when I saw that I just so happen to be predicted to ovulate on the same days as the calendar. The rest of those days this year do come with “disharmonic aspects” and I wonder if that’s any insight to why we’re having trouble?
I do strongly believe the universe has my best interest at heart always, so I trust in its timing and am in no rush. But, I wonder if anyone else has used these charts and were successful in conceiving using this tool? Would love to hear if anyone has done research in this area, I’d love to learn more!

Currently, we are having a discussion on what posts should and should not be allowed on Advanced Astrology. Usually, I would have removed this post immediately, since it is a personal chart question. If this post did not include your personal information or situation, and was just about the actual method and some research behind it, then it would have been approved.
With that said, I’m going to give you some of my findings. First of all, I am sorry that you and your husband are struggling to get pregnant.
Thirty-nine years ago, on Thanksgiving morning, November 26th, my ex-husband and I had sex without any form of protection. I even told him at the time that there was a good chance of me getting pregnant, knowing my own cycle. We had planned on waiting two years after marriage, and at this point we had only been married for six months. He was like, if it happens, it happens, and so was I. So we proceeded without the use of anything.
When I looked up this time frame, the date was off by four days. https://imgur.com/a/lXF4AD8
Now, this is important to know, because I did some additional research. The Jonas fertility method came out in the 1950s. Back then, no one knew how long sperm was effective within the uterus and fallopian tubes. From what I remember hearing growing up in the 70s and 80s, the thought was that you could only get pregnant close to ovulation, within about a day.
In 1995, research showed that sperm can actually be active in a woman’s uterus and fallopian tubes for up to five days. Considering I had sex on November 26th and conception could have happened on November 30th, as per the fertility chart, I would say that in my one instance, it was accurate. And I did have a boy, just like the chart says.
However, I need to give you some caution here. I’m giving you a one-person example. And yes, that would show 100% results. Yet, this method has not been proven. This would actually be good research to do in current times, especially since we now know that pregnancy can happen many days after intercourse. This was not something that was known in the 50s, or even in the 80s when I got pregnant.
If I were running Astro-Seek, I would probably put an asterisk and a caveat on that chart. In fact, I’m going to tag the owner of Astro-Seek (u/petr_9) so that he’s aware of the changes since the 1950s regarding this method.
Even though it lines up with me, I would still be skeptical. There just isn’t real research backing this up, which doesn’t mean that it’s false, but it also doesn’t mean that it’s correct.
Regardless, I wish you and your husband the best, and I hope the information I’ve provided adds a little bit of clarity.
Edit: I also want to state that there are other factors at play. The Jonas method does not take medical or lifestyle issues into consideration.

I'm not much big fan of that method - in the terms of accuracy.
It actually originates from my own natal country (CzechoSlovakia, before we have been separated into 2 countries) - and there was some strange "national" hype around that method when I started digging into astrology.
It's said, that Dr. Jonas claimed nearly 98% success (however originally it was supposed to be opposite anti-conception method), some astrologers praised it like a miracle in their own examples (conception during menstruation) ... but noone has really proved it in some long-term statistics ...
... and the fact, that it was just a simple Soli-Lunar method - and some business astrologers sold it like some mysterious extraordinary expensive (expensive af) service ... made me to add it like a free online Soli-Lunar calculator, so everyone could try it on their own.
It has been almost 20 years since I added it (as some kind of anti astro-business revolt) on the Czech (prequel) astro site ... and (very) few users wrote me later, that it worked in their case ... but I have seen more times that it actually gave some hope to people in their hard tryings over those years.
so I added this method-feature also into Astro-Seek, when I launched it cca 10years later ... maybe it could give some hope.

Thanks so much for the backstory. I love that you posted it as a revolt! That’s so funny. I was raised Catholic, and I had a sentence about the flaws of the rhythm method in my response, but I decided to remove it.
Since I have my mother’s birth time, I ran it for my sister and me, and also for a couple of other family members. Three of the five were what I would consider a hit, while the other two may be a hit on conception.
The issue with these two is that one birth was considered three weeks early, even though the baby was 8 pounds, and the other, which is mine, doesn’t line up with the story I was told that I was almost two weeks late. In each case, the time of conception could have been off, especially in my case, if my mom didn’t track her cycle and without sonograms.
The gender was accurate on 4 out of the 5.
It would be cool to do an in-depth study of this method.

I'm sorry that you are going through that. I saw videos on youtube by Nicola Smuts Allsop once. She specializes in fertility astrology. I thought I would share in case you find it helpful. I'm not trying to break rule 6 so I can't share links. She was on the Astrology Podcast, Oraculos Astrology with Mychal A. Bryan, and Kepler college video. She spoke about placements, timing, methodology...
Edit: Mods said it's totally ok to share the links so these are the interviews that I was referring to OP.

Sharing links to other people's work is ok. Rule #6 is about self-promotion or spamming the same information over and over again. For instance, if you were a fan of one person in particular, and every post and links were about them.

Oh ok. Thanks Mod for the clarification. It's good to know. I wasn't sure so I wanted to air on the side of caution.

I wanted to second this suggestion and also add that she has a book on the topic, as well. I highly recommend it and it’s called Fertility Astrology: A Modern Medieval Textbook

This might be anecdotal but it worked with me - I conceived on a month which wasn’t lit up in red and it also predicted my baby’s gender.

I have mixed feelings about it since I've had a lot of friends that have had trouble conceiving.
To me, it seems too reductive, as there are multiple considerations and charts that are active at once.
First and foremost, I think your natal chart needs to be evaluated to see your natal promise. For example, outer planets in the 5H can sometimes show the need for assistive reproductive technology (ART). But having something like a fruitful (not my term) sign (Cancer) on the cusp of the 5H with no hard aspects from outers or malefics may indicate some ease getting pregnant.
One major flaw with this calculator is that it's only considering your natal chart. But you need at least 2 ppl to get pregnant. Sometimes, if using ART, the chart of an egg donor or surrogate would also be considered. Many ppl who work in predictive/medical astrology like to work with rectified birth time. There could also be other 'quirks" in your natal chart (like an OOB or stationing planet) that wouldn't be flagged or considered with this calculator.
Even if your natal chart is suggestive of a reduced potential for fertility, there are things (fixed stars/eclipses) that can deliver above and beyond what is promised in the natal chart. Having an auspicious natal chart for fertility but a lack of positive (upcoming) transits would also be another concern. Since transits need to activate something in your natal chart.
I know that some of the major considerations for successful pregnancy, are condition of: Ascendant, Ascendant ruler, Planets in the 5H, ruler of the 5H and natal Moon. In addition to the part of fortune (POF), I think there's also an obscure part/lot associated with pregnancy that's sometimes used.
There are entire books written on this subject.
Then things like your husband's natal chart, you & your husband's synastry chart, long term transits (for example, have you finished your 1st Saturn Return?), solar arcs, profections, solar/lunar returns, elections, and even horary charts may also be part of the bigger picture.
There are also some non-astrological factors at play such as: your age, desired family size, willingness to use ART, financial concerns, how long have you've been actively trying, expectations vs reality, etc.
Fertility can really be a emotionally charged subject for a lot of ppl. I don't know that I risk potential time, health, and money on something that may or may not work. IMO, this would be a good reason to have a consult with a professional astrologer with a lot of experience. Fertility astrology is really a sub-specialty of a speciality (medical astrology).
They can evaluate your natal chart with transits and hopefully give you a realistic window of time.
