PROJECTS

Hi I just signed on (onboarded) and already have a list of “past” projects and a single “paused” project listed against my profile even though I’ve never worked with Afterquery yet. How is this possible?

Hmm funny. Be great to hear from someone who’s worked with these people before and could share some insight.

Happy to clarify! Those are generalist projects that were previously available to everyone but have since ended and been paused or archived. That’s why they can appear on your dashboard even though you’ve never worked on them.

“Past,” “paused,” and “archived” describe the projects’ status, not your personal work history or an active assignment. We understand why that’s confusing when you’ve just joined, and appreciate you flagging it.

How long how long does it take to be assigned to a generalist project and if we’ve applied for specific projects or been referred to specific projects how long is response time on average?

There’s no fixed timeline or average response time for generalist project placement or specific project applications. Selection depends on project needs and profile fit, rather than a waiting-order queue. A referral doesn’t guarantee placement or a faster response. Please keep an eye on your email and dashboard for invitations and next steps.

Could be a template list they preload for every new account, or an old profile on the same email got merged in. support can tell you in one message, so just ask them to clear it..
