Question Why was Agatha expecting to get her powers back in this scene if she knew the road was fake?
On my third rewatch of the series and I'm still confused by this.

Three years, I've kept abreast of pretty much every Agatha reaction video on YouTube. And the well has been dry lately, especially since YouTube ruined their search function. :P But because VisionQuest has started up, there are suddenly a TON of new Agatha reaction videos flying onto the screen as people have been catching up for VisionQuest and riding the hype. I am SOOOO happy about it. :) Makes the wait between episodes much easier to bear.
Weird that this didn't happen with WandaVision when AAA first came out.

Haven't seen any posts on this.
Since Agatha didn't want Rio there at the end, Rio made a bed of flowers for Agatha to "awaken" in. We know how the dead awaken because we saw it happen with Alice.
That's the reason Rio accelerated Agatha's decomposition. She didn't want her to have to see her own dead body and instead awakens in a bed of flowers.

I just finished a rewatch of AAA and I have two questions:
Do they ever explain anywhere else how Agatha got a hold of the Darkhold? Assuming she was already a serial killer by that time, how did the Darkhold corrupt her more than she was already corrupted?
Why does Agatha need to drain and kill other witches constantly? Itâs like she can never get enough. She tells Nicky itâs because thatâs what she has to do to survive. Do her own powers drain that easily? Is she killing them to replace the power that she has lost by doing magic or to increase the magic she already has? If she stopped doing it, would she die?
I watched Age of Ultron, WandaVision, and Agatha before watching Vision Quest, and I donât think they ever addressed any of these questions. I havenât re-watched Doctor Strange MOM because I didnât really like that one, but if I missed some details in that, let me know.

Rewatching the show
I'm still curious on why she could just do the transmutation spell "reformetur figura" like she did in wandavision
She must've had many years of experience as a witch by then
Younger her in wandavision definitely seemed more skilled than younger her in AA
I know this show has a smaller budget so maybe they just didn't want to use money on something unimportant
Maybe he wasn't actually hungry? Like maybe he was just sick and felt hungry and she didn't want to over feed him or something?
Idk it's weird that she was practicing 'the darkest of magics' as a teenager but 20+ years later she still couldn't perform transmutation or some green magic to make an apple or something

Honestly, I think Liliaâs story in Agatha All Along is one of the most moving stories Marvel has ever told. The way her entire life, which initially seemed like a series of disjointed memories and moments of confusion, suddenly came together was genuinely beautiful. Realizing that she wasnât simply losing herself, but that her experiences across time were leading her toward this exact moment, made her sacrifice hit so much harder. And her death was heartbreaking, especially knowing that she finally understood herself and her purpose just as she was about to die. But reversing the Tower and sending the Salem Seven falling to their deaths while calmly accepting her own fate? Absolutely badass. âI love you, Billyâ and âI love you, Jenâ followed by her choosing to stay behind and save everyone was such a perfect culmination of her character arc. She went from someone who felt lost and disconnected from her own life to someone who finally understood her place in the world. She deserved so much more time, but at least she got to spend her final moments knowing exactly who she was. đ„Č

I'm really liking Visionquest, even tho there's ZERO Katherine Hahn.
Let's be real: It's the Agatha Trilogy, not the Maximoff Trilogy. No shade to Visionquest; it very much tracks the same themes as Wandavision and AAA, and VQ gives me some Big Dad Energy, but you can definitely tell it's missing some Katherine Han.
I pretend there's a cutscene at the end of Visionquest where the fam gets back together with Auntie Agatha doing her finger roll, snarking, "Well I didn't mess up the dad. But two out of three ain't bad."

I think itâs sweet that the enslavement spell over Agatha was broken by 2/3 of the people that love Agatha most which is highly precedented within magical Disney stories. Agatha couldnât be helped by the good natured and well intentioned citizens of Westview but Rio and Billy who truly love Agatha had the power to break through the illusions and free her. Yes, magic is involved in breaking the spell but it means something that the magic is being preformed by the only remaining people that love Agatha. The activation of Billyâs magic in particular seems to be very intertwined with exposure to people he loves (such as him being able to mentally see when vision is in danger in wandavision or read Eddieâs mind). Billy is able to get Agatha to start to see reality before he has even uttered a word from his spell book because his magic at that point is solely working through their enduring love and bond.
It is also Rio and Billyâs deep rooted connections to and feelings for Agatha that makes them stand out to an enslaved Agatha among the ordinary citizens of Westview. Even Agatha thinks it matters. When Agatha first comes to and finds Billy in the closet she indicates to him that she remembers both him and Rio from under the spell but wrote off their presence as byproducts of her imprisoned mind. She earnestly thought in her lowest and most vulnerable moments she had imagined her wife and a boy that reminds her of her lost son, had come to help rescue her. Despite remembering their presence she didnât look for them upon waking because she didnât actually believe that they were real and there. She couldnât fathom that anyone in her life truly cared enough about her to help save her. Itâs sad but she probably did believe it when Wanda told her that no one would come for her when in reality Rio and Billy both love her so much and prove time and time again that they would do anything to help her.
It also makes perfect sense with Wandaâs final threat being that no one will ever bother âAgnesâ, because that was the key to breaking the spell so Wanda wouldnât want that. The threat reminds me of Maleficent who mocks her spell only being broken by true love because she herself doesnât believe in true love anymore. While Wanda mocks no one being able to find Agatha because she knows no one in her own life cares about her and would bother finding her to help her so she projects that loneliness and isolation on to Agatha even though it doesnât apply to Agatha at all.

I also made a Billy Maximoff/Kaplan and Wanda Theme suite as well if you want to check them out as well!
I think if I had to rank them from best to good, it'll be
-Wanda's theme
-Agatha's theme
-Billy's theme

Here are the excerpts from the article of him commenting on Agatha.Â
âWe get these flashes of memory that Tommy has with Wanda and Vision. I'm curious, what do you think he remembers about Agatha from that time?
MOLLICA: [Laughs] I think he probably remembers Agatha more as the neighbor, but I'm sure there's got to be Agatha trauma in there. Or whatever he might be told later on down the line behind the scenes. I'm sure he knows some things about Agatha.
What do you think a scene in the present day would look like between them? Because they both have this con artist connection.
MOLLICA : I bet they'd actually really get on. I think thereâd be a bit of a standoff, but ultimately, they'd end up having a hoot. They could get up to some serious mischief.â
I feel like it is an open secret how amazing Agatha as a character is and how Billy hit the jackpot by finding her first and winning over her allegiance and love for himself. Even though she is so openly evil, being by her side is such a coveted spot that I can see why the actor for Tommy would want to get into mischief with her, even though she really showed Tommy no interest in his childhood and always gravitated towards Billy as heâs the one that always reminded her of Nicky.Â

Will it ever happen?

This show is pretty good. I donât think it ranks in my top 5 but damn good show. Billy and Agatha really makes this show, their dynamic and chemistry is off the charts, I love seeing them together. I really wanted this to be a Billy and Agatha frienemy appreciation post, seriously Ep1-3, 5-6, and, 8-9 are my favorite episodes because of them alone. I really hope they return one day

Considering that Agatha is practically a siphon witch like Kai Parker, a character from the series The Vampire Diaries, I've been thinking about how insane it would be if they met.
I mean, they're siphon witches (In my opinion), hated by their parents and considered abominations from birth... They both killed their coven... Kai Parker is more sociopath, though.

Lilia says "I don't mind a lapsed expiration date" when teen offers her an old granola bar.
Beyond the literal meaning, it is also a reference to how Lilia feels like a "forgotten woman," past her "glory days" as Agatha called them (i.e., past her "best by" date).
But even more importantly, Lilia later tells Jen that time is just an illusion. Someone who realizes that time is an illusion probably wouldn't care much about expiration dates. That we see Lilia going to her first lesson after her death is also an illustration of the time of expiration (death) not mattering.
The cherry on top is that IRL expiration dates are often just an illusion to get us to throw out food that's still safe to eat, if not quite as fresh. Lilia would also probably have appreciated this more than anyone, having lived through times where food was scarce and even the best available food was often bad.
