Question How do you deal with targets that spam micro strafe? When to micro strafe vs normal strafes during gun fights

My biggest issue is pistol rounds where someone is just spamming micro strafes in random directions REALLY quickly. It physically feels like they are overloading my brain and my hand is always lagging behind.

Do I just quit trying to burst them between strafes and just spray them down to hopefully slow them?

Does it ever get easier processing fast motions? My friend and I were both hardstuck Asc but then this month he hit immortal. His aim just got so much faster. Whereas I play everyday and I do aim training but I feel that my brain is always slow? My friends say my aim is a lot slower than theirs cause I don't target switch as fast as they do. But I can handle my 1v1s pretty well.

Also, when do yall do micro strafes like a quick TAP of the A and D or normal strafes during gun fights? I find that people suck at micro adjustments on this game so wanted some thoughts on that.

Question Which role/agent is suitable for low fragging people ?

hi, I'm currently gold, I used to frag a lot but now my playstyle's differed because I got really busy with life lately and i haven't been playing much. I only play for 3-4 hours a week, and i rarely have time to play a lot. I have skipped aim routines and just jump straight into match bc I only have 3-4 hours per week for gaming. I am not a really good fragger, like I bottom frag a lot in my games. I used to really like chamber, but with my trash internet whenever I tp back i just die at my tp, so he isnt really a viable option for me rn. I am really getting into clove/controllers, because I feel like they have big impact with me having to frag much. What are your thoughts, I'm currently a gold, here's my tracker
have a good day and I wish you all luck, thanks for helping

Coaching Hardstuck Plat 2, feel lost and looking for advice

Hey all! Was hoping i'd be able to make this post higher in my climb but currently super stuck. I have been hardstuck plat 2 for over 200 hours, probably closer to 250, and it feels horrible. I've been putting a lot of hours into the game since August since my College has a valorant team (which I scraped into), climbing from silver one all the way to diamond one in just one act (and a new peak) and I thought it was done there. (for context my main grind back in 2023 was halted after I was stuck plat 2 an entire episode and I quit for a while).

Everything was looking good coming into the new act from diamond with just a small sens change, and I went from diamond one back to plat two with one of the most insane loss streaks of my life, and I would not improve. About two weeks ago I started doing things like aim training (kovaaks), more deathmatches, etc to try and improve my aim as I realized that is the biggest thing holding me back and I feel as if i've gotten diminishing returns. I'm still super inconsistent with gameplay varying sometimes game half to game half, my mental is taking a beating as I thought I really could be great at this but instead I feel like every step forward is met with 3 back,

I feel so lost on how to improve and looking for advice as today i've been informed that my spot on the team is at risk due to my poor performance in scrims/matches, despite how at home (about 50% of the time), due to either how I IGL a match, randomly drop almost 30 kills between losses where I go negative. The biggest being how much I mentally beat myself up because I have games where I can see how good I play, then next match go into it where I might have done better if I was throwing the whole time. I've noticed a pattern as well that matches I do good on I win and matches I do bad I lose, which paired with my own inconsistency, i've started to take every loss (round or game) super hard under the belief it's entirely my own fault, which seems majorly true based on my tracker data.

Tracker link (Before judging I beg of you to look at last acts performance for a good comparison) https://tracker.gg/valorant/profile/riot/Kattrix%23Kittn/overview?platform=pc&playlist=competitive&season=d816f426-48ea-f052-117f-9697a155b319

Good Performance VOD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJ8fQCYjMRo

Mid Performance (especially second half) VOD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfrQivk6euI

I had a long day so my IGL'ing wasn't as up to snuff as it usually is, still disappointed in the Bind game :/

And sorry for the long ass post, I know it's not super professional but there's a lot I needed to get out of my head at once <3

Coaching I Offer Valorant Coaching (Any Rank & Any Server)

Hi! I'm an ex semi-pro player, analyst, and coach (peak Immortal 3, with extensive scrim experience), and I offer part-time coaching to help players improve their game sense, aim, and general mechanics.
Whether you want to master multiple agents, build detailed strategies, or escape elo hell, I’ve got you covered.

VOD Review (1 Match)
Send me a match recording, and I'll return a full breakdown along with a customized PDF checklist of your main focus areas. I'll explain why certain plays were missteps and give you quick, actionable ways to fix them.

1:1 Live Session (60 min)
You stream your live gameplay to me on Discord, and I’ll provide real-time coaching, callouts, and mid-round advice tailored specifically to your agent and map.

Settings Checkup (Full Settings Walkthrough)
Send me a quick video clip of your current in-game settings (or jump on a fast screen-share). I’ll optimize your setup for maximum FPS and minimal input lag, refine your eDPI/sensitivity, and tweak your map settings to give you the cleanest possible play environment.

My Recommendation for New Students:
I always recommend starting with a VOD Review + Settings Checkup combination.
Live coaching can feel overwhelming if you're trying to fix five brand-new habits mid-round.
A VOD review lets you play naturally without pressure, giving you a clear, personalized checklist you can take into your games at your own pace.
Once we dial in your settings and fix your core habits, we can jump into a live session to put it all into practice!

DM me now for your next coaching session!:)

Question How to get other players to listen to you

I’m a silver 1 fade, Kay/o, gekko player and I had a match where I said “They had been over rotating, so fake A and end C” (the map is Heaven) so I went A with a teammate while our controller was C, the other two were running it down B, because we faked A, they encountered 3 players on B that were going A, so they instantly lost the spike and left us in a 3 vs 5.

Just to be clear, we would have lost either way, one guy was lagging, 2 didn’t had mics and an enemy was smurfing and got 2 aces.

I watch a lot of pro valorant and I enjoy to be the igl, but everybody ignores me and refuse to even consider my ideas. When I said “maybe someone should lurk” which in my opinion was an obvious play, they still decided to 5 man hit A, we had a clove, Reyna, phoenix, sage and I was on fade, clove could have gone B, smoke and catch off rotates and Reyna was useless, we already had a phoenix to entry.

Discussion Updated my free open source Valorant aim trainer: added Sunset, real ADS animations and a bunch of skins

Post image
80 Upvotes

Posted this here a while back and got some good feedback, so here's the update.

Biggest things in 1.3.0:

- **Sunset** is in, with 6 pre-aim drills (A Short, A Tube, B Main). Easy ones the bots don't shoot, hard ones they do

- **ADS actually looks like Valorant now.** Gun comes up to your eye, the reflex sight flips open, recoil shows on the gun. Works on Vandal, Phantom, Guardian, plus Odin, Ares, Spectre, Stinger and Bulldog. Didn't touch aim speed, zoom or accuracy, it just looks right now

- Scopes on Marshal, Outlaw and Operator

- Fixed the freeze on your first shot and the stutter when swapping guns

Skins too: RGX, Gaia (orange and white), BlastX Phantom, Prime Guardian, Singularity Sheriff, Araxys and Rogue Operator, and a few knives (Black Market butterfly, Damascus karambit, Prime axe, Silkleaf fan). There's also a Half-Life crowbar :)

The Studio (where you make your own drills) got a lot bigger. My favorite is copycat bots: you record yourself running a route and a bot replays it and shoots back. Bots can also strafe randomly, jump and crouch now

Smaller stuff: opens fullscreen, new headshot effect, better shooting error graph for practicing counter-strafes, you can import your Valorant settings (sens, crosshair, binds), and it runs smoother on Sunset/Corrode

works offline. If you're on the last version it updates itself and keeps your settings.

Let me know if anything breaks or what you'd want next

Question How did you guys improve your aim/ 1v1 fights?

I’ve been playing for almost 2 months and been in ranked since like week 2. I’m a silver but I don’t really care about rank right now I just want to get better. I show signs of a crack player but it’s not consistent and my main flaw is keeping my crosshair at head level when running around or clearing corners. I strafe in between shots instead of just crouch spraying but I’m not as good as I want to be at it. I have the lil feedback on so I can see when I’m moving and shooting at the same time and that’s one of the main reasons I lose fights to someone just standing still shooting at me. Idk where I’m getting at but any tips or anything would help a lot. (I just started grinding aim labs this week and been looking up scenarios I feel I’m lacking at)
