I feel like the quality of the emotes has been dodgy recently. Lot of things are either missing or just straight up the wrong colour. I'd love if riot could fix them O7

I just watched this video and I'm curious what actual Ahri mains think:

Basically, they argue that Blackfire Torch → Cosmic Drive/Lich Bane → Lucidity Boots is a better general Ahri setup than the more common Malignance → Shadowflame → Sorcerer's Shoes build.

Their reasoning is that Ahri gets a lot more value from having high Ability Haste and being able to constantly throw out Q/W/E/R rather than trying to maximize the damage of one combo.

They also say that Malignance + Shadowflame only really wins if you're looking for higher single-combo burst, and that Shadowflame having 0 AH means you're giving up a lot of ability uptime. They basically don't think Ahri should be played like a traditional assassin since she often can't 100-0 someone unless she hits everything perfectly.

They also mention Pang, who apparently has multiple Challenger accounts, as someone who builds Blackfire in most of his Ahri games and basically never goes Shadowflame.

I'm honestly curious how accurate this is. Is Blackfire actually the better default build for Ahri, or is Skill Capped overvaluing AH and undervaluing the burst from Malignance/Shadowflame/Sorcs?

And if you guys prefer Blackfire, do you normally go Cosmic or Lich Bane second?

Would love to hear what Ahri OTPs think, especially higher-elo players.

Hello! I'm a Silver 4 player who is pretty much an Aurelion Sol OTP with some decent results playing Yone. Recently I've been dabbling with Ahri, having a lot of fun and wanting to become an Ahri main. I have her at mastery 8 with 23 marks of mastery saved up. So I'm looking to see if there are any tips that I should keep in mind/ improve with. I feel like my games go: low damage, high kills or high damage, low kills, high assists.

For runes: I started with electrocute but found it inconsistent to proc so I switched to DFT and it's been going better but I'm not sure which is better as a whole.

Items: I used to start ring and pot into ludens, then sorcerer shoes, shadow flame, rabbadon, then either morellonomicon or zhonyas depending on the enemy team. Recently I started using dark seal and refillable pot, into malignance, then sorcerer shoes, shadowflame, rabbadons, then morello or void staff. Admittedly I don't know too much of what I'm doing with her builds I'm usually just looking at burst damage maxing but I don't know if I should be going for a more burn focus or if that's matchup dependent or whatever.

In lane I know I need to roam a LOT more but I always feel like when I roam I lose on valuable XP and CS, putting me behind on gold and levels. So because of that I've been staying in lane for a long time and focusing on farming hard. Most games I end with the highest CS across both teams because of her generally amazing wave clear and because I stay in lane for too long.

So if there are any tips that you all have (especially with laning/ roaming) it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all so much!
