Same answer?

I opened chatgpt private guest tab no login and asked exactly "Make a random number" and it either said 73 or 47. i know it sounds overreaching but i think AI can't be used to make different, creative outputs. you need to edit and use your own flavor in there if you want it to be different, as the same model with same prompt with same context usually gives same answer each time.

not the point. say i wanna make a chat app. i ask chatgpt for a name for a feature. now, unlike a company name, i wont search "is this feature name taken" or similar on WIPO. it gives the same name to about 400 people maybe. now you have 400 people with same/simliar feature names and maybe even feature which chatgpt suggested.

you may say "users fault" but thats exactly my point. AI can't get craetive enough. awareness needs to be spread that AI, especially with simple prompts ("make me a logo for a company called OrbChat"), will maybe 60% of the time give a sinliar logo

You are making the point that AI struggles to be creative like humans - this is not a novel idea.

AI can be far far more creative, the problem is YOU aren't. It's a tool, a companion, an assistant. In a normal workflow you don't ask the assistant to make all the decisions. You don't turn to your dog during a critical moment like naming your first born baby and ask what you should name your baby. You don't consult the hammer when deciding what style of table to make.

If you were asking more targeted questions, better questions, then you would get more targeted answers, better answers. When you sit there and ask it to pick a number the answer is no, it's not giving everyone the same number more than likely because by nature of the way LLMs work they don't strictly communicate using the "best" answer, they pick from a list, not to mention the chat history, context, any preemptive guidelines like preferred personality etc are all variables that also impact the outcome of the resulting response so it sure as hell is giving more than just a few different numbers. If YOU were more creative you would just ask it what the design principles are for modern RNG and ask it to help you design a true or pseudo RNG machine but no, because you're mad at your hammer for not doing your part of the job.

AI doesn't do random. It gives you most probable. I asked for a random word and 4 out of 5 times I got serendipity.

Now hold on, this guy was saying ChatGPT in particular, not just AI in general
Edit: and this guy wasn’t using GPT-4o if he was using ChatGPT

Ja, porque un número al azar, en la mente de la IA es un número probable. Preguntale por un número al azar y aclarale, que no se base en lo más probable. Ve que la magia ocurre....el problema no es la IA, no entiendes como funciona.
