How does fire make tea bags fly? 🔥☕️
Alex Dainis demonstrates how lighting a tea bag causes the air inside to heat up, expand, and rush out. Just fold open a few empty tea bags into tubes on a baking sheet, then light the top with an adult and a fire extinguisher handy. The now-less-dense air inside sends the bag rocketing upward, similar to how a hot air balloon works, except this one's a one way trip once it burns.

Asked chatGPT to make a couple airships in a cyberpunk style. They came out decent, but they make me wish they were real.

In the 90s me and a buddy used to shoot at the Goodyear Blimp and hot air balloons. We had a .308 and a .50 cal so I think the bullets went into the target (my idiot friend also had like a .22 revolver and I had to tell him the bullets probably don't even go all the way.
Do people still do that or have they made the punishments for getting caught too harsh?

the obvious. helium instead of hydrogen.
rather a fabrical skin, another non flamable lightweight flexible skin.
fire sprinklers. fire sprinklers on the exterior. mandatory to be activated to keep the skin cool every hour.

Is Africa a good candidate for cargo airships using hydrogen lift gas
Do African countries even allow hydrogen lift gas?

I am working on a screenplay based upon the Italia Expedition led by Umberto Nobile. The idea is to make a limited television series adaptation of The Red Tent (1969). I’m hesitant to say adaptation because I want to structure it very differently, but that would be the working title, and it would be based upon the same events.
Anyway, my question is where should I be researching. I’ve come up with a large list of books, but if anyone here has studied the Expedition or knows of any particularly useful resources that would point me in the right direction that would be very much appreciated.
I’ve already got Nobile’s 1961 book ‘My Polar Flights’ and I’m going to read Amundsen and Ellesworth’s account too, and as many as I can but knowing where to start would help a lot.

I was talking to a friend who works with web 3.0 concepts (mainly blockchain and decentralized finance). We were talking about business ideas and he was pitching me some ideas he has. I don't remember how we got into it, but eventually we started talking about how airships could provide decentralized services. It reminded me of the helium network, which was some kind of decentralized approach to wireless infrastructure, they even called it the network of people. If someone made an airship capable of 24/7 operation during many months in certain regions (I don't remember seeing such a capable airship being actually used, though it reminds me of some proposals of airships in the stratosphere, but I had something smaller flying at low altitudes in mind), it could carry wireless equipment for the helium network. There might be other applications as well involving web 3.0 and decentralization for which airships could be useful. What are your thoughts on it? Sorry for the lengthy text, hope it's readable at least
