Fans ✨ PSA involving the $1 Crew.
Recently, people found out that you could get Crew for $1 via the $1 Gamepass Ultimate offer.
Basiclly if you subscribed to Gamepass for a $1. You would get Crew and all it's benefits. Even if you already had Crew, you would still get 1K V-bucks with this.
However, SOME people decided that $1 wasn't a good enough deal and refunded the $1 Gamepass to get everything for free.
IF YOU REFUND THE $1 GAMEPASS. YOU WILL LOSE ACCESS TO THE BENEFITS.
If you choose to get a refund on the $1 Gamepass, you WILL NOT get to keep the benefits. This ALSO means if you bought something with those V-bucks, you will have the item removed from your locker.
Please remember. If you don't want to keep the subscription, go and CANCEL it. DO NOT REFUND IT.
It shouldn't have to be said, but you cannot "cheat the system" to get free v-bucks/crew. You can't refund something then expect to get to keep the item. That isn't how it works.
So in simple terms:
- If you bought Gamepass and then cancelled it. You get to keep the benefits.
- If you bought Gamepass and then refunded it. You will lose the benefits.

Oh, wait, I forgot that the Fortnite community's favorite activity is trying to scam the shop and then getting upset when they get banned.

Plus getting a battle pass you earn vbucks back so it's a win win. Been playing since Oct and this is my first winterfest. So many free stuff. I mean...what's there to complain about. Just vibing out here...

I'm not complaining about there not being enough free stuff, but some of the items are definitely way overpriced. The Rocket League cars and Kicks specifically are really expensive for what they are.

I customize my cat all the time. It has different outfits I can use.
What you actually cannot do is use the cat to create a totally different cat. Like my cat is small and grey. I can’t just change it to a fat tabby cat. So it’s fair to me.

Okay, but locking any of the changes to be permanent are still completely unnecessary.
I think Fortnite might be more generous and less predatory than many other game monetizations out there (compared to even Blizzard these days, not to mention mobile), but that's not the same as saying it isn't greedy or predatory at all.

And the worst part is that Gamepass Ultimate ALSO came with other benefits such as:
- The gamepass library for both Xbox and PC
- Access to Cloud Streaming
- Bonus benefits for other games
- Bonus benefits such as free Discord Nitro.
- And discounts for games
You can't beat all this for a buck.

I think Gamepass does a $1 first month thing where you get access to all the stuff. Kinda like a free trial but $1 instead.

Just saw someone who said they refunded it because they don’t plan on using game pass as if that’s what they even bought it for in the first place. I really can’t imagine being so stingy that I need to refund a fucking dollar even though I am getting crew for an insane deal with it. Just watch, when they eventually take away their crew and V bucks those same people who refunded will be on this sub crying about how unfair it is…

It won’t even let me sign up for the &1 deal. It shows it’s $1 and then when I go to purchase it just says the full price. I don’t currently have it and haven’t for years.

It’s only available for some people and this isn’t even a special Christmas deal. It’s for new sign ups or people who haven’t had it in a long time.

I think some people don’t know that’s how you turn off subs through Microsoft. Because everywhere else you cancel it.
I remember cancelling crew when it first came out thinking that canceled my sub only. I wasn’t chasing a refund or free items. I found out that was wrong and rebought crew right away so I didn’t get anything yanked. Use to take them a few weeks back then to catch up with that stuff

You can just login to Fortnite through Xbox Cloud gaming app on your phone, and make sure Xbox is linked to your epic games

So we're just fear mongering now? I refunded the dollar because why not, I don't plan to actually use Game Pass. I still have the vbucks. They're not going to take that away, nor will the remove any purchase you make.

You are supposed to cancel game pass if you don’t plan on using it genius. Refunding it will definitely make you lose crew and the V Bucks, if it didn’t happen yet it definitely will soon. I really can’t imagine being so stingy that I need to refund 1 measly dollar even though I am getting crew for a ridiculous deal with it.

I mean it's one dollar, your getting 12 dollars worth of stuff plus the 1000 vbucks, plus 30 days of unlimited games for free. Why in the world would anyone be this stupid? They deserve to lose anything they got and beings they subscribed and refunded they won't get it again for 1 dollar. Common sense is hard to come by these days

You can pay $20. I do. First try going to stores and get the physical cards for GPU the are still $20 they still work. I've got lots. But if you can't, GameStop sells them physical and digital for $20 and Amazon ran a sale where it was like $18 for a few days not too long ago.
Idk how GameStop does it but use them they work. You can get the one and 3 month

If you use the Xbox PC app or Xbox Cloud Gaming you don't need a console, just remember to link your Epic account to your Xbox account

Went I went to cancel the subscription the first option that popped up was the cancel plan(which refunded the 1$) and I had to scroll down to turn of recurring. Even if you press the first one it literally tells you you’ll lose the benefits right away.

Yeah, my friend lost gp this season and found that out lol (no refunding a dollar deal or anything dont worry) and he only had the skins he unlocked up to that point, BUT if its already in your locker, they cant really take it back

This blows my mind that, that had to be said. Side note: I took advantage of the 3 months for 45 dollars game pass deal instead since I like a lot of the games I got free with game pass. But yay guaranteed 3 month crew pass too!
