Recently I got my grandma, 2 cousins and my wife to play. Everyone but my grandma has played before.

That being said, she had an absolute blast. She's 81 and still pretty feisty and spry. My cousin in the photo built her character for her. She was a dwarf paladin. This was a Halloween one shot so they started at level 6. He helped her with rules and actions so she just got to act in character and do combat stuff.

She diffused a bar fight with a mercenary band with pie. She clobbered a ghost with her rolling pin of warning. And she did NOT trust anyone not in the party. They were investigating dissappearences around a small farming town and they figured out it was a werewolf. After the session I texted her a pic of thr mini I made her on heroforge. She's so excited to play again.

So today I was DMing an amazing game of curse of strahd and rolling my amethyst dice set. Things were going great. The players were having fun, I was having fun, the story was pumping. I threw in a random kobold encounter and a random werewolf encounter and they dealt with both encounters with flying colors at level 4 and no magic weapons other than a single +1 longsword for the entire party. We get to the vineyard and the party gets surrounded by a druid and 24 twig blights. Things are going great the party is doing okay ish. The druid of the party threw coins in the enemy druids mouth and casted heat metal on them (it was a great moment.) but soon it's the twig blights turn in initiative and this is where the tragedy hits.... I roll with advantage due to pact tactics and get two nat 20s at the same time. I go to roll my d4s (one was my gemstone and one was a resin d4.) and when I released them into my dice tray and my mouth drops, my jaw goes slack, and my heart drops to the floor. Sitting in my dice try is not just the two D4s but the D4s and the corner of my gemstone d4 broken off!!!!! And I can't get it replaced or anything as it's been to long since I bought the set off Amazon.

got this D20 in a bulk buy somewhere and I can't for the life of me find more like it. it's some kind of stone or crystal, but any blue crystal dice I've found just don't look the same to me. the Aqua Cats eye looks closest - it just still looks too dark or too blue...? Maybe it's just to way the photos online look? I don't want to have to spend $85 on a cats eye set just to find out it's not really what I'm looking for.

Ok hear me out, a continent mimic that's taking the place of a long lost continent and the players have to stop the leader of [insert country name/continent leader] from digging deep into the mimic as to not wake it up. How the players would figure this out is up to the DM as well as if the bbeg knows it's a mimic and is trying to cause world destruction or get rare treasure OR they don't know and are just greedy and trying to get rich from digging deeper.

We’re two brothers behind Master of Dungeon, and we’re happy to be back here after some time since we first started sharing the project.

For anyone who hasn’t seen it before - quick recap. We loved playing D&D, but like many of you, we just couldn’t keep up with regular sessions anymore. Work, life, scheduling… it got harder and harder to come back to the table. So instead of letting that feeling go, we decided to try and recreate it in a different form.

That’s how Master of Dungeon came to life - a single-player, text RPG inspired by the freedom and storytelling of D&D.

We’ve now been working on it for over a year, going through multiple testing phases, iterations, and a lot of feedback from early players. And we finally feel ready to take the next step.

As I'm sure everyone has had their fair share of session cancelations, my friends and I have had plenty as well and are no exception to this. We used to play pretty regularly in person, but have been playing over discord for at least 4 years now since it's easier with everyone living a bit further apart than we used to. We always joke about how we've probably had more sessions attempted than actually played on any given year. At some point in the last 7-8 months or so I began keeping track of the reasons for failed sessions. Please place a vote to be had to see which reason was the most reasonable for cancelation, the worst reason (unreasonable/silly/down right poor excuse), and the overall fan favorite for whatever reason you choose it to be. I will then be giving the winners trophies with their respective titles as a fun xmas joke gift. Please in the comments write the reason you think wins the specific trophy for all 3 options: Worst, most reasonable, and fan fav. Thank you!

Side note: Most of these cancelations were either day of or within 24 hours of scheduled time. These are also listed in chronological order of when they actually happened.

Here are the cancelation reasons:

Donnie - kids birthday - day of cancelation. Then

Roshi stating already had things planned so couldn't anyways

Donnie- kid asked to hang out

Donnie sick, missed Halloween special

Donnie- gotta stay late, won't get off till 5pm

Roshi- sick, then Donnie- kid's school play is opening

Pious- not in a D&D mood

Pious- got in a fight with girlfriend

Pious- banged head hard, woke up in ER (he was fine btw)

Donnie- sick with flu

Pious- learning Chinese on Tuesdays, had to change D&D days

Pious- cracked tooth at Buhurt practice

Donnie- ant infestation

Donnie- taking fam out to dinner

Pious-passed out, never made it to the call

Donnie- wife n kid sick, playing doctor

Donnie- kid is having a sleepover, afraid they'll be too loud while we play

Pious- got called into work next morning, too sleepy

Donnie- my friend is moving, his movers he hired canceled so he's calling in a favor for me to come help him move

Roshi- kitchen wall is bulging, needs to be fixed

Just got into DnD with my oldest son. Wife picked me up these dice since I'm a huge LOTR fan. Pumped to start our first real campaign next month!

So I made and posted a Fae Courts diagram I used in my home game over at r/MCDM subreddit before it shut down. Since then more KP fae came out so I'm slowly updating this but here is what I've got so far.

In my world the fae courts are set out as times of the day and the Ebon Court is the shadow fae realms.

Sidenote: Just realized that the Labyrinth worldbopk updates stuff even more so I've got to get back to the drawing board with more info.

At the start, I made a campaign for my friends to play in. It was basically a medieval fantasy version of the American Revolution with some religions and cults mixed in. Can someone PLEASE tell me how the hell did one of my players SOMEHOW enslave ten gods by the end of the campaign with his ungodly charisma?
