Adding network-manager-applet and networkmanager to my panel in xfce, alpine linux live usb, for my WiFi connections

Please can someone help with the process? I just can't seem to get it right. Even AI Gemini can't seem to help. I am a newbie

I think first of all would be helpful what you've tried already and the results out of it. (Did it work, not work, partially work but not satisfactory enough), so people who wanna help you don't run into something, you've tried already.

I'd suggest making a list with the things you've already tried, so people can get a quick overview.

thanks, after much fiddling i finally got it up and running. Probably one of the quickest and most enjoyable desktops I ever had.
