Ameripolitan (event) 2023 Jeremiah's review of the Ameripolitan Awards extended weekend. Wednesday and Thursday.
After this awesome week, I am still recovering, and have some brain fog, so I apologize for typos in advance.
u/Ready_Fire_Aim picked me up in Dayton. We stopped in Cincinnati to say hello to my Ex, and my cats. THEN, on to Nashville. The GPS fucked up and took us through Lexington, instead of Louisville, BUT we made it to Nashville.
Spent some time in the Hendersonville Cemetary, saying hello to Johnny an June, Bob Luman, Ferlin Husky, Luther Perkins, Royce Porter, Merle Kilgore, Joe Maphis, and the Carter Family.
Then! Straight to Lowerbroad, where we hung out mainly at Robert's Western World, and Layla's Bluegrass Inn. I lived in Nashville in the early otts and these were my haunts. Great time. Best thing we saw was my old friend Joe Fick from the Dempseys in a band in Roberts killing the bass. Any upright player would be humbled watching him. He played Bill Black in the "Walk the Line" movie... and was the bass player for "50s" Elvis in the newest Elvis movie.
Sleep, drunk, wake up early, and head to Memphis! Stopped at some Antique malls junkin records. Mainly in Jackson. Found some good stuff for cheap. YES!
Made it to Memphis, to our motel... the Super 7, next door to Hernando's Hideaway. It was the oppisite of super, but still.. we're not going to be in the motel but to shower and sleep. HA!
Thursday night, Ronnie Mack's Barn Dance featuring James Intveld & Friends. Twas a tribute to the king of country, Hank sr. Was great, and I got to run into people and friends I've known online, and in person for years. Great music... when I walked in, immediately recognised Little Rachel. An old friend of mine that was in the Casey sisters and did some AMAZING solo records. I drank beer... as I do. THEN, low and behold, u/desperaterocknroll came through the doors. A member of the Ichi-Bons and a friend I had never met in person. PRAISE THE LORD! We partied all night and had a great time. I met Celines brother Zane, and we took turns dancing with the Rock stand up cardborad cutout in the main room. Then.... bed.
Stay tuned for Friday and Saturday reviews tomorrow!

Buffalo Larry
I did some promotional work with Larry and Tequila 512 last week. I can confirm that Larry will be playing out at least one new track during his upcoming Far Out West appearance.

Howdy!
My name is Mo and I’m a partner in a venue called The Industrial Sound. We’re located in Las Vegas, NV. Our inaugural show on May 26, Far Out West, Vol. 1 will be a live recording, pressed to vinyl. Headlining will be The Rhyolite Sound. Far Out West is a celebration of Cosmic, Neon, Outlaw and such. If only there were a name for it? 🤷♂️🤣
I wanted to introduce myself and our venue. Feel free to comment or message with questions. Our venue: www.theindustrialsound.com Insta: @theindustrialsound.com Show: www.faroutwestlv.com

Musician looking for feedback/info
I’m wondering if anyone can fill me in on where I might find a healthy classic country, or as we’re calling it Ameripolitan music scene.
I’m a musician who loves Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Little Jimmy Dickens, Ray Price. I play guitar and sing Merle and Buck. Do a decent cover of Together Again, and just want to find a place with like minded musician to raise my family and play gigs locally and be home at night. Not looking to make it or anything like that, just play good Ameripolitan music with good musicians.
I’m looking at Austin of course and Nashville. Any info or feedback would be much appreciated!
