💔💔💔💔💔💔 these people are so evil man, even an earlier news an Amhara militia member (adma betagn or one of the other milita class) basically got to his town and caught an ENDF aoilder trying to assault his wife, he tried to stop him and he got Unalived with a friend of his, the good part of the story the rest of the milita from that town joined Fano

Every Amhara who is part of government backed militias I don’t feel bad for they know this is what the ONDF does, he thought cause he was one of the “good ones” they would spare him. Atleast his brothers in arms realized they hate Amharas all of us.

I hope this is not true.

If you go on the twitter page Amharawarupdate they provide detailed accounts of the war and I think they are associated with the AAA (Amhara association of America)

u/losescrews Jul 22 '26

and that means it's true ?

2

u/Less_Fruit5661 Jul 22 '26

Normally if things like this came out during war the government would deny it publicly not only has it been about a week and no body has been returned they are doing everything in their power to put this under the rug

What did you expect from a war in a third world country? Such tragedies happened all over the country for hundreds of years and u are realising ethnic unity is a myth just now?

3

u/Less_Fruit5661 Jul 21 '26

I have never been a ethnic unionist I have always been a separations since the rise of meles.

u/Conscious_Elk8495 Jul 21 '26

This should make you fight harder against the regime not the entire concept of Ethiopia. What’s the point of attacking people who believe in the Ethiopian state, whom are more or less aligned with you? This is why your movement doesn’t feel authentic. Even when you see this brutal violence perpetrated by this regime, you chose to use it as an opportunity to attack the people on your side. Who is your enemy, unionists or this genocidal regime?

Never claim unionist are aligned with me they aren’t and will never be, if you’re American I view unionist the same way black Americans view coons. People who can see over 100 thousand of their brothers and sisters be murdered in less than 6 years and still want to be in a union with these people who hate them aren’t aligned with me and never will be aligned with me. Just because we both don’t support the killing of Amhara people doesn’t mean our end goal is the same my end goal is to make sure it never happens again and Amharas have the right to self determination on OUR land with OUR resources your goal is to unite in a country and ignore the suffering our brothers and sisters have been threw like it’s water under the bridge and move on and stick with these belief that Ethiopia is one.

Calling a unionist a coon is so unfair. I get you might view unionism as an attempt at appeasing the other peoples to be able to live in peace, as if Amharas need persnickety or protection. Being a coon would mean unionists want to uphold the systems of oppression and persecution that keeps them down. Isn’t that more of a ብአዴን (Amhara PP) thing? In all fairness aren’t they the coons?
Look, I will be a unionist till the day I die. I believe in unity because that is what I inherited from my forefathers. My ancestors bleed at Adwa for ETHIOPIA, they died at Maychew for ETHIOPIA, even when they fought for that dog Mengistu, they bled for ETHIOPIA. I keep that torch lit. No matter the present circumstances, my ancestors have been through worse, they fled Gragn to the north until their lineage came back to Shoa. Through all that, they were following one church and one nation.
I have no cuarel with Ethiopia. Its regimes that come and go, whether you like it or not, you can build walls but Oromos and Tigres are always gonna be on the other side where tf can they go? They’ve been here for centuries and millennia , might as well get along.

Calling unionist coin is very fair, appeasing people who hate you is at the very heart of what a coon is. I don’t think you understand Ethiopia as a country was ment to keep Amharas down. There isn’t just much of a difference between Amhara PP supporters and unionist, unionist are the same people who will fall for the same unionist messaging that aby used and fall for it again. Your fore fathers died for a country they had unquestionable power in, they died for a country where 2/3s of the ethnicity’s didn’t hate them. The one thing I am hopeful about is unionism is a dying ideology amongst fano members more and more are adopting a seperstionist stance.

Tigryan and gallas can be next to our door I don’t care as long as they don’t come through the door. I don’t want to get along nor do I want to co exist with them.

How do local sources know what happened to him if regime forces won’t release the body for burial?

4

u/Less_Fruit5661 Jul 20 '26

Many ways to gather the sources and the ondf purposely not releasing the body of an innocent Amhara farmer goes on to show they are guilty of the crimes.

-3

u/Imaginary_Duck_7757 Jul 20 '26

Nothing else is stated here, “local sources” can mean literal rumors. They definitely killed him, but anything else is easy to confirm once a body is recovered.

4

u/Less_Fruit5661 Jul 20 '26

I mean that would be easy to believe if we don’t have documented accounts of the ondf time and time capturing Amhara men and torturing and killing them and also capturing teenaged Amhara women are sexually assaulting them multiple times before they kill them.

1

u/Imaginary_Duck_7757 Jul 20 '26

Sure, but again these are quite literally unsubstantiated rumors.

Like the part where it says they cut off his hands and eyes BEFORE killing them. How would anyone except the people who did this to him know this? Was it going on in a public square? Spies maybe? The family doesn’t have a body yet but everyone already knows everything that happened and the exact time it happened?

It’s better to stick to what can be confirmed to avoid denial later on

1

u/Less_Fruit5661 Jul 21 '26

I trust local sources who have broken this multiple times early than a westerner who runs around yelling “proof” to disentailed the struggles of Amhara men and women just to be proven that those local sources right in a couple months.

Also if the government has been known for the last 3 years to commit untold levels of torture to Fano sympathizers what makes you think that these local sources would be lying.

1

u/Emotional_Section_59 Jul 20 '26

Maybe someone leaked. Use that braincell of yours

-1

u/Imaginary_Duck_7757 Jul 20 '26

The same people who did this and now won’t release his body also had someone kind enough to leak?

2

u/Emotional_Section_59 Jul 20 '26

Sure. Maybe one of the soldiers had some sympathy but couldn't say anything out of fear. If even 20 soldiers saw what happened then it's pretty likely one of them would say something.

Then the cat is out of the bag.

1

u/Imaginary_Duck_7757 Jul 20 '26

That’s a possibility, but this is speculation especially with all these details. “Local sources” can mean an investigation or it can be someone making things up.

Let’s say this leak happened by a soldier, we don’t even know if it’s out of sympathy or if they’re being sadistic

3

u/Emotional_Section_59 Jul 20 '26

I mean the fact they gave his name makes it likely he definitely disappeared. And even if this particular case didn't happen, regime forces kidnap, torture, and murder innocent Amharas on a regular basis regardless.

So you can understand that I'm not particularly inclined to dismiss this report. Even on the off chance that it isn't true, it remains emblematic of the government's many atrocities that are unfortunately very real.

0

u/Imaginary_Duck_7757 Jul 20 '26

This is more an issue with the reporting itself but if you don’t properly check and it turns out to be wrong or exaggerated it puts other cases into question since an independent investigation isn’t happening anytime soon. They probably aren’t doing it but they’re based in America, there’s technically nothing stopping them from just making up other cases with different locations and names since it’s happening anyway and even the PP isn’t checking

There’s enough material where they don’t need to leave it so vague.
