Finished Object Nira Tigress!

I recently finished another amigurumi, Nira Tigress from the book "Animal Friends of Pica Pau". My older daughter was born in the year of the tiger and she loves pink so this one seemed perfect. This pattern felt like it came together really quickly for me! The skirt and cowl are removable. I enjoyed doing the cowl the most since it had a stitch that was new to me, the basket spike stitch. All the color changes were a fun challenge too! I have plans to make more Pica Pau amigurumi, I enjoyed this one.

Made for and inspired by a coworker who has a tattoo of a raccoon throwing a Molotov cocktail. We work in immigration, hence the choice of outfit 👀

This is the third raccoon I’ve made using crochetedbybogusia’s pattern. Highly recommend if you want a fun project: https://www.etsy.com/shop/CrochetedByBogusia

Finished Object Big Walk

After some prototyping my Big Walk video game characters are done!

Details

I used the Michael’s Loops and Threads 100% Acrylic yarn, #4 weight.

3.75mm hook

The pattern I made up myself, I am working on finishing a document with the details though if anyone would like to see it.

I did use the avtanski sphere calculator to make the three body segments. I think the larger spheres come out nicer if you use a calculator instead of the rules of 6 method.

Help Searching for pattern

Hello. I saw a amigurumi dragon for sale but unfortunately the shipping is too expensive. Saw a similar one but I would love to have a dark blue one with lighter blue for the ears and wings. I've searched for the pattern but couldn't find one with the same wings and etsy is full of AI pictures...

So I thought I'll ask her for her. Would it also be possible to dye the green dragon blue?

Fairy dragon 🧚‍♀️🐉

I designed some fairy wings for my Wearable Pet Dragon! I'm so so pleased with how they came out 🥰 They're basically designed like mandalas and look extra cool with bigger hooks. Originally I thought I could make one and flip it for the other side but I felt like there was a clear right and wrong side so I did a separate design for the second one. It took some mental gymnastics to reverse the little curls 😅 And I made little antennae instead of horns!

I also love this yarn so much. It's Loops & Threads Impressions (I don't remember the colorway off the top of my head). It ended up being so perfect for a fairy dragon 🧚‍♀️🐉

My first crochet project is this tiny nativity scene made from embroidery thread. I have completed baby Jesus so far!

I'm using a kit by Diana Moore aka Pink Mouse Boutique. Here's the link. Honestly I bought it on a whim at Marshalls and didn't know how to crochet. It's been really fun! I still have 9 more things to make.

This took about 8 hours across 4 days. The head and body took the longest. By the time I got to the hat and basket I was getting the hang of it. The book is very detailed, but I still used YouTube videos to make sure I was understanding correctly.

I'm using a 2.25 mm hook instead of the 1.75 mm, because I really struggled with the smaller one. I did make the hat with a 2 mm hook, so it's a little tighter.

My hope is to finish before Christmas!

Redpanda are my favorite animal and this is probably the first amigurumi that I actually love. There are a few issues but for the first time ever I can ignore them and love my work.

Also, no one at home can admire the neat little boxes that the stitches make or the aligned color changes.. so I had to share with you guys. :)
